"It's fine, it's fine. These two tasks may sound absurd at first, but when it comes to actually carrying them out..."
Dylan paused.
They were still absurd, of course.
But they were not entirely impossible to complete.
For example, the first Refinement Task merely required him to cast the Killing Curse forty-four times on the same target.
Simple enough.
As for the second Refinement Task involving the Transfiguration Spell, it only required him to use a Transfiguration Spell on Professor McGonagall once.
"The next time I discuss Transfiguration with Professor McGonagall, I can claim that I want some practical combat training and suggest that we use Transfiguration Spells on each other. That way, even if I cast one on her, it won't seem too abrupt."
Dylan sighed softly.
These two tasks were neither exactly difficult nor exactly easy.
It all depended on how he handled them.
"The Killing Curse's Refinement Trait—Killing Intent Burns the Heavens. Judging from the name alone, I can't tell what kind of ability it is."
"But the Transfiguration Spell's Refinement Trait—Instantaneous Transformation Without Hindrance—seems easier to understand. It should let me cast spells instantly while transforming and make the transformation process smoother, right?"
For the Galleons it cost, this trait was quite worthwhile.
After all, if wizards wanted to make a spell more powerful or effective, they usually had no choice but to study and figure it out for themselves.
But now, all he needed to do was spend a small amount of money and complete a few friendly, heartwarming tasks to give his spells new traits.
It was an ability that countless wizards would be willing to climb to the heavens to pluck the moon or dive into the five oceans to catch turtles for, yet still fail to obtain.
After thinking it over, Dylan
