"What do you know?"
Harry and Ron both leaned their heads closer.
Dylan was still hugging that durian and gnawing on it.
Hermione opened her schoolbag and took out a book.
"This is another gift Dylan gave me."
"What? Why did Dylan actually prepare two gifts for you?" Ron stared wide-eyed.
Hermione waved a hand. "That's not the point. The point is, guess what I found in this book?"
Dylan glanced at the Legendary Alchemist in Hermione's hands.
"Alchemy? Did you learn how to turn stone into gold?" Ron asked, confused.
Harry's brow twitched. "Alchemy? Headmaster Dumbledore is an alchemist too. He gave me an Ever-Blooming Flower for christmas."
"Headmaster Dumbledore used alchemy to fuse magic with a special plant. This flower can even change color according to my mood!"
"Hey! Why didn't Headmaster Dumbledore give me a gift?" Ron's eyes widened even further.
But neither Harry nor Hermione paid him any attention.
Hermione quickly flipped through the book in her hands. "Nicolas Flamel, the person we've been looking for, was an alchemist! But the strange thing is, he was from the fourteenth century!"
"This book records many of his Alchemical Creations, including the Philosopher's Stone!"
Harry blinked. "The fourteenth century? That was hundreds of years ago, wasn't it?"
Ron cried out, "So the person we're looking for lived hundreds of years ago! No wonder we searched through the Contemporary Magical Hall of Fame Directory in the Library and couldn't find any trace of Nicolas Flamel!"
Hermione shot him an unfriendly look. "Stop talking nonsense and listen to me!"
Dylan was sitting beside the three of them, so he inevitably overheard their conversation.
Hearing Hermione's attitude toward Ron, memories from his previous life suddenly surfaced in Dylan's mind.
