"Did you see that? He looked like he wanted to take on all eight of us by himself?"
Abraxas spoke mockingly, and his words drew laughter from the group behind him.
"Hahaha! Maybe he hasn't woken up yet."
"Hey, little brother, you probably can't even cast Lumos, can you?"
"Lumos? I bet he hasn't even opened a textbook yet."
Faced with their ridicule, Tom's expression darkened. His grip on his wand tightened.
"Abraxas, there's only one First Year Newborn on the other side. Why don't you try him first?" one of the older students said.
"Mm, sure." Abraxas did not refuse.
He might have been wary of Li Weide, but he was not afraid of Tom in the slightest! Although many Pure-blood families had declined by now, quite a few still remained powerful.
The Malfoy Family was one of them.
As the youngest male of the Malfoy Family, Abraxas carried great expectations from his family.
That was why he had already taught himself quite a bit of magic while at home.
In this respect, children from Pure-blood families still held a considerable advantage over Muggle-born children.
Abraxas had been wary of Li Weide because Li Weide had mastered "illusion magic" that he had no way of dealing with.
But when facing Tom, his sense of superiority as a Pure-blood family member rose up again.
On top of that, older students stood behind him. Even if Tom knew that kind of confusing magic too, someone would be able to help him break free from it.
Abraxas stood before Tom, a black wand in his hand.
"Abraxas, do you remember that jinx I taught you yesterday? Let me see whether you've mastered it," the older student said again.
"Alright."
As Tom looked at Abraxas before him, he was actually a little nervous.
