With every inhale and exhale, spiritual energy flowed like two transparent long serpents, cycling through Xiang Yang's nostrils. The true meaning of the way of breathing lay fully revealed within it.
Xiang Yang sat cross-legged atop an ochre meditation cushion, heaven above his head and earth beneath him. Pines and cypresses stood tall at his side. His hands rested flat upon his knees, palms upward, fingers forming orchid seals as his mind served three purposes at once.
First, his primordial spirit had slipped into the Void Information Ocean, roaming among the boundless imprints of heaven and earth. Now, aided by the greatly transformed Wordless Book, his progress was astonishing. He vaguely possessed the ability to know all things and understand all affairs, constantly strengthening Xiang Yang's foundation.
Second, his awareness remained within his fleshly body, moving blood and qi like golden sand through him in a slow current. As it accumulated, bright blade qi sprang forth—born from his bone apertures and issuing from his skin and hair. Even if divine weapons and sharp artifacts struck Xiang Yang's body, they would likely do no more than scatter sparks, unable to harm him in the slightest. This was the consummation of the Limitless Blade Body: as long as his blood and qi did not wither, his body would remain undefeated.
Third, he breathed in and out spiritual energy through the path of no law and no thought, refining the true qi within his body.
When he inhaled, the true qi in his dantian was sometimes murky and chaotic, sometimes transforming through the four seasons and five elements, yin and yang, withering and flourishing, life and death, silence and extinction—all contained within one whole. This true qi was cultivated from Xiang Yang's very life.
When he exhaled, his true qi transformed into blades.
