Xiang Yang asked himself: without the powerful solidity and stabilizing properties of the Blade Soul, from the very first step of cultivating the Myriad Transformation Blade God, he would have been walking toward death. The endless ocean of information in the void flooding into his primordial spirit would, without question, have reduced it to extinction.
It was like a hard drive with limited capacity. Exceed that capacity, and the hard drive itself might be fine—but a primordial spirit would collapse.
But with the Blade Soul, and through the methods recorded within the Myriad Transformation Blade God, he could proceed step by step, gradually raising his capacity to receive the world's information and slowly strengthening himself.
In truth, this was a controllable state of enlightenment.
So-called enlightenment had nothing to do with whether one's talent was outstanding or one's comprehension keen or dull. It was simply when, under a certain opportunity, a person suddenly grasped some principle, greatly increasing their talent and accomplishments in a particular area, until their understanding and insight into that field became exceptionally profound.
Xiang Yang had experienced enlightenment once in his early years. Drawing upon the broad principles of the Wedding Dress Divine Skill, the Heavenly Silkworm Divine Skill, the Three Points Returning Energy, and many other martial arts, he had roughly created a version of the Heavenly Silkworm Nine Transformations. He had also sorted through all he had learned before, bringing his internal energy cultivation to a profound level and giving an enormous push to his subsequent martial path.
