Background / History

Born into the Zhu Family of the Star Luo Empire, Zhu Zhuqing was bound to a hereditary political arrangement: the family’s Hell Spirit Cat could fuse with the Star Luo Imperial Family’s White Tiger to form the Hell White Tiger. She was consequently betrothed to Dai Mubai from childhood. Under Zhu Family rules, she and her elder sister Zhu Zhuyun had to compete for succession; the loser faced elimination or imprisonment. 40

At age ten, after reaching level 20, Zhu Zhuqing entered the Star Dou Great Forest with her guard, Uncle Zhu, to obtain a speed-oriented second ring from a Black Wind Leopard. Zhu Zhuyun ambushed her during the absorption process. Zhu Zhuqing completed the absorption, reached level 21, and gained Netherworld Hundred Claws, but was injured while fleeing Zhu Zhuyun’s forces. 40 41

Zu Zong intervened against her pursuers and brought the injured Zhu Zhuqing to shelter. She concealed her identity as “Zhu Qing,” but gradually trusted him as he treated her wounds and escorted her from the forest. Before they separated, she asked him to save her someday. 43 44 45 46

Two years later, Zhu Zhuqing joined the Soul Master Academy specifically to find Zu Zong. Their reunion in Suotuo City began with her attacking him to confirm his identity; after he recognized her as the girl from the Star Dou Great Forest, they became a couple. 39 40 46
