Golden holy light flashed and vanished. In that instant, Strange felt as though his hands had come back to life.
A long time had passed since his hands were injured. He had even grown accustomed to his current condition. Now that they had suddenly recovered, he stood frozen for over a minute, staring wide-eyed at his hands as if trying to determine whether this was real.
"This..."
Just as Strange confirmed that his hands had truly recovered and was about to say something, he noticed that the watch on his wrist had also been restored to its original condition.
"The watch..."
"Consider it an extra gift."
His hands had been healed with holy light, but the watch had not. Yinsen had used magic to reassemble its damaged parts and restore it to how it had been.
"Thank you very much."
Strange turned the watch over in his hands several times before carefully putting it back onto his wrist. He looked as though he feared that applying too much force would damage it again.
Yinsen knew that this watch held special meaning for Strange. But judging by his behavior, it seemed Strange intended to study the ways of Kamar-Taj's sorcerers and take the path of secluded cultivation?
"You're welcome. It was nothing more than a small effort."
Strange could tell that Yinsen meant it. The ease with which the other man had cast his spell made him envious, while also making him realize just how far he still was from becoming a true master.
After driving back Dormammu, Strange's pride had begun to resurface. He felt that, on the path of magic, he had already surpassed most of Kamar-Taj's sorcerers. Perhaps he was not that far from becoming a true master, considering how long he had "trained" in the Time Loop.
