The demons came quickly!

Almost the day after the Dark Portal was destroyed and Sfurax's fleet was mistakenly teleported to the other end of the Star Sea, Sarkir's massive fleet had already entered Draenor's star system.

They advanced from several directions at once, but were swiftly met head-on by the Restoration Army fleet. Though the Draenor Clans had no starships of their own, the combined Star Sea forces of the remaining eight clans formed two fleets, more than enough to assume a defensive posture in a battle among the stars.

At the very least, they could hold back some of the demon warships from bombarding Draenor along its orbital paths.

However, Diakum's order was to preserve their forces as much as possible, to maneuver with the demons in the Star Sea rather than smashing eggs against rocks. The enemy had brought three hundred demon hunter ships. A direct confrontation would probably wipe out the Restoration Army fleet in a single wave.

The Vigilant had his fleet stall for time while awaiting reinforcements.

As for where those reinforcements would come from—

"The Orderkeepers' fleet has already set out! But our world of Draenor is too remote. They need time to get here."
