The Draenei's twenty-thousand-year exile had been made possible by the starship Genedar. The ship had been piloted across the vast sea of stars by three guardian naaru. Aside from K'ure, the naaru who had lived alongside the Eredar since the age of Argus, the other two—Kara and Deori—had both been "warmhearted good people" who had taken part in the Great Rescue of Argus.
Because the other guardian naaru, Lura, had died in battle, and because the fighting during the final battle of Argus had been too fierce, those two warmhearted naaru had ultimately been unable to return to their own ship. Yet not only had they never demanded compensation from the Draenei, they had resolutely chosen to continue protecting the Draenei Clan as they embarked upon an endless road of exile.
Over those twenty thousand years, the three naaru had guarded the resilient Draenei like three suns, shielding them from the malice lurking among the stars. Through wind and rain, the three naaru had grown weak and weary. Though mythical beings shaped by the Light Force, naaru could still become tired.
