Under Illidan's godlike stealth assassinations, the Penitents fought their way from the Fel Lava Pool to the vicinity of Nathraxas Hold, striking hard at the elite demons who had lost their command.

Perhaps because they had opened the "slaughtering rite," Fel's "Blessing of destruction" had been activated within them. Their growth in combat prowess was so rapid that it inspired fear, yet they retained their sanity and resisted Fel's temptation toward slaughter. Led by the captains they had chosen, they refused to linger in battle.

Using the Fel fireworks Illidan continuously fired as their guide, they swiftly seized several defensive Fel Spires while the demons around Nathraxas Hold were thrown into chaos by the assault. Drawing upon their nature as demons, they operated the cruel Fel cannons and pounded the demons surging toward them.

The Penitent warriors who had volunteered as breachbreakers followed Illidan into the heart of the demon fortress.

Star Hunter was focused on completing this battle's central objective. He had to destroy the Fel Heart that provided the demons in the material world with a "respawn point" and "rapid resurrection" as quickly as possible.
