The night was deep.
Perhaps because the weather was overcast, there was no moon tonight, nor were there any stars overhead—only an expanse of pitch-black darkness.
Closing that book in her hands, Qi Guang Meng Xing glanced outside the tent.
Firelight flickered in the night. Not far away, the glow emitted by the Plantern was faint and placid, while the rushing roar of the tidal whirlpool beneath the cliff remained unceasing.
...Everything was normal.
The campsite the four of them had each set up for themselves could be said to have been quite distinctive.
Qi Guang Meng Xing herself had gone with the most standard setup: a tent and a Sleeping Bag. Expressionless Loli, as usual, had lain down inside a coffin. Bai Zhi had a recliner, while Lancer had a simple, no-nonsense Wooden Bed.
From Qi Guang Meng Xing's current position, she could vaguely make out Kan Lu sitting cross-legged atop the Wooden Bed, standing watch. A long spear had been planted beside the bed.
"Fifteen whole days... Looks like I'll have to start worrying about food tomorrow..."
After taking stock of the food and supplies she had left, Qi Guang Meng Xing could not help but worry.
If she rationed her remaining food and water carefully, they could probably last another ten days or so... That was the most ideal scenario.
Her situation was still relatively good. As for a certain Lancer outside who had already run completely out of provisions, even his dinner had been friendship-supplied by them... Hm?
Looking at the blurry silhouette cast outside the tent, Qi Guang Meng Xing froze slightly.
At some point, Lancer had silently climbed down from the Wooden Bed. He did not even seem to intend to take the spear planted beside it. Like a Marionette, he turned around and
