Ink-Stained Crystal's Return Gift

Dead Zero's message was a strange little poem.

The Communication Cards they used here in the Core Area had all been made by Withered Heart. Six cards formed a set. While they had various functions like positioning and private one-on-one chats, they also came with quite a few drawbacks.

For one, the cards themselves were fragile and easily damaged. For another, communication was unstable. Once the distance grew too great, real-time communication became impossible, while the environment and one's location could also affect positioning.

Besides those two points, the Communication Cards themselves were unregistered. In other words, anyone who got hold of one could use it.

Even Fireworks of Romance's summoned little dog could use a Communication Card, let alone anyone else.

"So, what do you think?"

Seeing Bai Zhi deep in thought, Fireworks of Romance leaned her head closer.

"Earlier, as you asked, I sent each of them a message about your Communication Card being destroyed. I received this message from Dead Zero over ten minutes ago, but I couldn't make heads or tails of it, so I had no choice but to come find you."

"What, you can't understand it?"

His deep eyes narrowed slightly as Bai Zhi looked up at the Young Girl before him.

"Uh... I can't understand it, but it feels kind of creepy..."

Meeting Bai Zhi's gaze, Fireworks of Romance, inexplicably feeling as if she were being enveloped by a mysterious aura, subconsciously shrank her neck back a little.

"Then why are you so sure I can understand it?"

Rolling his eyes, Bai Zhi's entire bearing abruptly changed as he tossed the Communication Card in his hand back onto the table.

"Riddler, get the hell out of Gotham City. I hate Riddler most of all. Don't ask me—I can't understand it either."
