The meeting in the Forbidden Grounds soon ended.
Albert cheerfully headed off to the Seventeenth Floor again, ready to seek out Old Jin for a talk.
He probably understood Old Jin's circumstances, and did not expect him to come out of seclusion right away.
But now, like Wen Xishu, Albert was quite eager to dig up every last one of Old Jin's secrets.
As they left the garden, Albert said:
"You'd better hold off on climbing any towers for a while."
"Why? Honestly, rather than waiting for Mr. Jin to summon me... I might as well climb a tower first." Wen Xishu felt he was already due for another climb.
Xun Hui and Wen Renjing were following behind them. At this exchange, both looked at Wen Xishu as though he were a monster.
Whatever Wen Xishu's current strength, his sheer dedication to grinding put them both to shame.
No wonder he had gone from death-row inmate to the Bunker's legend in just three months.
Albert said:
"Don't rush. Old Jin's about to go into seclusion. What exactly that entails, I don't know. He's already practically in seclusion, isn't he?"
"And once he does, he won't be able to talk to us until next month, or even later."
"I'm worried your next climb might delay your meeting with him, so sit this one out."
Wen Xishu really wanted to refuse. No tower climbing, just eating, drinking, and having fun in the Bunker? Living in decadent luxury? Enjoying life? No, that felt too strange.
But if Mr. Jin had some major revelation to offer, that did sound interesting.
In the end, Wen Xishu agreed.
For some reason, Albert, Xun Hui, and Wen Renjing all breathed a sigh of relief.
