The Ancients Are About to Return!
The small black dot belonging to Gormlaith Gaunt lingered outside the washroom, seemingly checking if anyone was there. After reaching the second-floor stone corridor, Sean put away the Marauder's Map and strode over with an air of superiority.
"The spider is fine."
"It should be safe here."
"My instincts can also detect some danger, but there's no signal coming in right now."
Through the inner pocket of his robe, Dave continuously transmitted his thoughts.
For Sean, the Basilisk is the biggest safety hazard. As long as the monster is not around, all other dangers are within his control.
The girls' restroom on the second floor was right in front of him. Sean lowered his eyelids slightly, pursed his thin lips, and put on an annoyed expression.
He walked into the washroom with a sullen face. Because of Moaning Myrtle's presence, no one had been here for a long time. Water stains were everywhere on the sink, and there were a few swaying spider webs in the innermost corner. Of course, the spiders were long gone.
There was no one inside; Gormlaith Gaunt did not appear.
"Did they hide or go back to the Chamber of Secrets?" Sean muttered to himself.
But Felix Felicis's instructions were not without purpose; he must have come alone to obtain something beneficial to him.
Sean, now in Malfoy's form, walked to the nearest pool and slammed the rooster cage he had been carrying onto the ground.
"A bunch of idiots..." Sean muttered darkly, turning on the tap and letting the water flow out, but he had only washed his hands.
Following Malfoy's example, Sean didn't turn off the tap immediately. He casually shook the water droplets off his hands and then took out a handkerchief to wipe them.
"It's a complete mess!" he exclaimed, looking utterly disgruntled. "The whole school smells like chicken manure!"
Sean kicked the rooster cage on the ground angrily. "Those disgusting Mudblood should be wiped out! I don't know what's the point of being on guard. Do you think the Heir of Slytherin would lay a hand on me? I'm going to write to Dad and make him take care of this mess at Hogwarts!"
He looked very dissatisfied, and after venting his frustrations, he reluctantly turned off the tap and prepared to leave.
Just as Sean reached the bathroom door, a sinister, Pride, and cold female voice rang out.
"I agree with that... Hogwarts definitely needs to be regulated."
Sean, using Malfoy's face to feign a startled expression, turned around and saw a figure floating at the far end of the bathroom.
She was a thin witch with a hairstyle typical of aristocratic women from centuries ago, and wore a long, black robe that resembled a corset. Her face was cold and beautiful, with sharply defined features, but her somewhat protruding, gloomy eyes completely ruined her overall appearance.
Of course, that's not the point. The point is that, unlike the other pearly white ghosts, she has a pale grayish-white translucent branch, with an arrow at her heart, and from there, crack-like marks spread out.
This made her look like a ghost doll pieced together from scraps of leather.
"Who are you?!" Sean shouted in terror.
The ghost gave a sinister laugh, "Don't Slytherin students even recognize ghosts?"
"A ghost?" Sean was taken aback, then became angry again because of his recent embarrassment. "Of course I know you're a ghost! You unruly brats, I'm going to write to my father later and have him Banishing Charm you and the Mudblood from Hogwarts, you wretched thing!"
The ghost wasn't angry at all; instead, she smiled, though her chapped chin made her look like a murderer.
"I agree with you. Some filthy people don't deserve to be at Hogwarts."
Sean frowned, making no attempt to hide his disdain, and took a step back, saying, "Your opinion doesn't count... Who are you? I've never seen you in the castle before."
"Gormlaith Gaunt," she said, raising her head proudly.
"Gormlaith Gaunt?" Sean feigned an expression that suggested he recognized her but couldn't quite place her.
Gormlaith narrowed her eyes, her voice turning icy. "Which family are you from, kid? You've never even heard of the Gaunt Family?"
Sean racked his brains for a moment, then looked surprised. "Gaunt Family? You're a descendant of Slytherin?!"
Gormlaith was clearly pleased with his shocked expression, and she proudly raised her head. "That's right. But you even know I'm a descendant of Slytherin. Tell me, what's your name?"
Sean immediately mimicked Malfoy's Haughty Gaze demeanor. "Draco Malfoy, you should have heard of him, right?"
"The Malfoy Family?" Gormlaith sized up Sean: his Slytherin uniform, his neatly styled hair, his Haughty Gaze and sullen face, and the clinking of gold coins in his bag.
That's right... Gormlaith nodded in satisfaction.
"Malfoy ..." she called out, then paused before continuing, "What is Brutus Malfoy to you?"
"That's my ancestor...you know him?" Sean looked doubtful.
Gormlaith snorted, "Of course, there are connections between Pure-blood families."
"So why are you here? I've never seen you in the castle before..." Sean suddenly froze, then looked at the other person in horror.
"Looks like the Malfoy Family have produced a clever lad," Gormlaith licked her lips, then gave a cruel smile. "You guessed right, I opened the Chamber of Secrets— "
Sean retreated in terror to the bathroom doorway, stammering, "You... you can't! I'm from the Malfoy Family, I'm Pure-blood!"
"Of course I know—" Gormlaith floated up to Sean, Sean could even see her broken, withered heart through the crack in her chest, "That's why I came to you."
"What do you want from me..." Sean feigned fear and swallowed hard.
Gormlaith moved closer, her smile cruel and insane.
"Draco? That's your name, right? The Heir of Slytherin is right in front of you. I think the Malfoy Family's upbringing must be pretty good—come on, we can work together."
She laughed maniacally, "Ha—as Pure-blood Wizard, our relationship is incredibly strong, something those Mudblood can't compare to... Once the purge is complete, the castle will only have wizards qualified to learn magic left, isn't that what we've been pursuing all along?"
Sean's breathing quickened, and he said in a low, fearful voice, "But what am I supposed to do... And they say Dumbledore is coming back..."
Gormlaith scoffed, "Foolish fellow! It's because of people like him that Hogwarts has become such a mess! And what is Dumbledore!"
She stretched out her hands, her face filled with fervor and joy, and murmured as if in a dream, "The great Salazar Slytherin is about to return..."
