More Than One Person Was Controlled
When Professor McGonagall arrived with her men, Sean had already helped Lavender Crown and Professor Trelawney into their respective chairs. He also carefully checked the surrounding area and found no uninvited guests.
"Mr. Wallop, what happened?" Professor McGonagall entered and saw the two unconscious men.
A thin, ribbon-like Occamy slithered back into Sean's sleeve from the shadows. Professor McGonagall now knew that Sean kept many small animals, but given her fondness for Sean, she turned a blind eye.
Sean recounted what he had seen to Professor McGonagall and her group, adding at the end, "I checked, Lavender is indeed being controlled by Imperius Curse, but the duration of the control is unknown. Professor Trelawney's situation is somewhat strange, and we need you to investigate further."
Professor McGonagall immediately looked behind her: "Severus— "
Snape emerged from the shadows, quickly pulled out a vial of potion, and dripped it onto the face of the unconscious Lavender. He pursed his lips and remained silent, carefully observing the girl's condition.
After a moment, he raised his head and said in a deep voice, "Brown has been controlled for at least two weeks, and her current state of consciousness is not very stable. The person who cast the spell on her must be afraid that she will break free, so they will reapply it at least every two days."
Sean frowned upon hearing this. Lavender Brown had been under control for so long... and the caster was so careful, casting spells on a fourth-year student so frequently.
"She needs to rest for a while to get rid of the Imperius Curse. It's a pity we don't have Gringotts's Thief's Downfall here, otherwise poor Miss Brown could suffer less." Professor Flitwick also examined her, and he stood up with a somewhat grave expression.
Meanwhile, Snape also began examining Professor Trelawney.
"He just passed out."
After Snape finished speaking, Trelawney let out a long, painful groan and then awoke from her unconsciousness.
"Oh my god, Lavender, I can't drink anymore. I need to get up early tomorrow morning. I have a class..." Trelawney rubbed her head groggily, then froze on the spot.
"Oh, oh, Minerva, Filius ... and Severus ... what, what's going on? Oh my God! Lavender!"
Professor McGonagall walked up with a grim expression. "Didn't you Prophecy that you'd been set up, Sybill? Tell me, what exactly happened?"
Trelawney initially seemed to want to shirk responsibility, but seeing the serious expressions of the professors around her, she finally realized that she might have caused some serious trouble.
Her lips twitched a few times, and she even glanced at the wine bottle on the table.
"Alright, alright... Lavender came to me with some wine, saying she really admires my Divination skills. Of course, I can understand how a little girl feels..."
"Get to the point, Sybill!" Professor McGonagall interrupted him without hesitation.
Trelawney flinched slightly, then said timidly, "I talked to her a lot, and I drank... a little. I remember she wanted me to make some Prophecy for her, but I didn't give her Prophecy!"
"No, you most likely gave her Prophecy, Professor," Sean said calmly from the side.
"Huh?! Mr. Wallop? Would a Divination teller forget the Prophecy he made for others?" Trelawney shouted at Sean, looking quite indignant.
Professor Flitwick's beard twitched twice. "Just now, Mr. Wallop saved you! Lavender Brown was being controlled by Imperius Curse. If Mr. Wallop hadn't happened to be passing by, you might not just be unconscious right now!"
Professor Flitwick's shrill voice startled Trelawney, whose eyes, hidden beneath the thick bottle, widened. "Lavender is under the influence of the Unforgivable Imperius Curse?"
"Yes," Sean said in a deep voice.
Then he told the other person about the scene he saw Trelawney staring blankly, about to make Prophecy.
"I believe that even after she helped you back to your office, you still made Prophecy. Professor, what kind of Prophecy did Lavender want you to make?"
"Oh, oh... I didn't make any Prophecy ..." Trelawney muttered to herself, a look of fear on her face, but finally stammered, "She wants me to make Prophecy about this Time Incident ... She wants me to see into the distant future so she can avoid the disaster that might harm her..."
Trelawney stood up unsteadily, her hands trembling as she protested, "But I really didn't give her Prophecy! Prophecy related to this kind of Time Incident are subject to a lot of interference, and a powerful Prophecy could trigger some kind of irreversible accident. I couldn't possibly do that..."
Time Incident ... Sean licked his lips.
This involves Grindelwald...
Trelawney continued, somewhat aggrieved, "That's a dangerous idea, and I... I'm not as strong as my great-grandmother..."
Sean and Professor McGonagall exchanged a glance, both understanding the meaning in each other's eyes.
Professor Trelawney did not lie, but that Prophecy may have already come true...
"Sybill, I need you to tell me, is this the first time Lavender has come to see you?" Professor McGonagall asked seriously.
"No, no, she comes to see me often, but more frequently these past two weeks, and always in the middle of the night, and she brings my favorite gin... You know, I... I usually like this..." Trelawney's voice trailed off.
Sure enough, the person who used the Imperius Curse on Lavender knew that Trelawney could enter that Prophecy state, and he/she wanted to obtain an accurate Prophecy from Trelawney...
Sean's pupils contracted slightly; he sensed something was wrong.
The other party might be targeting Grindelwald... They may already know that this Time Incident is related to Grindelwald, but they can't grasp the key to the matter, so they thought of using Trelawney, an outsider, to Prophecy...
That means the other party doesn't possess Seer abilities, or their Seer abilities are affected...
Sean immediately thought of the Returners.
Trelawney continued, "These past few days, those two girls who idolize me have been coming quite often, but I don't know why they don't come in pairs like they used to..."
Sean looked up abruptly. "Parvati Patil is here too?"
Trelawney was startled by his suddenly loud voice and stammered, "Yes, yes, that girl has recently been coming to see me alone with drinks..."
Sean turned and ran.
Professor McGonagall followed him, then shouted to the people in the office, "Take them both to the Hospital Wing, then seal off the entrances and exits of Hogwarts! Sean, the password is 'Good Fortune'!"
Sean ran swiftly through the castle, quickly leaving Professor McGonagall, who was panting heavily, behind at a corner. He then immediately raised his wand, and in Trace Flash, appeared outside the Gryffindor Common Room.
"May good fortune shine upon you!"
The Fat Lady in the portrait glanced at him, and without dawdling like she would with other students, quickly opened the passageway behind her.
This was Sean's first time in Gryffindor's Common Room, but he didn't have time to look around properly.
"Sean? What's going on? Dude, this is the Gryffindor Common Room, how did you get in?" In the middle of the night, the three boys in front of the campfire stood up; it was Harry and his friends.
Sean didn't answer Harry. He looked around and grabbed a little girl who was reading a book. She was one of his Transfiguration students.
"Miss Fiora! Take me to Parvati Patil's bedroom! The dark-haired Indian girl, the twin!"
Fiora stood up in a daze. Although boys were not allowed in the girls' dormitory, she immediately believed her Professor Wallop and ran towards the dormitory.
Sean ran and shouted, "Harry, make some noise, wake up the Prefect! Get everyone awake, the professors are coming soon!"
"Ah?"
Harry, Neville, and Ron exchanged surprised glances, then immediately pulled out their wands.
"Sean doesn't joke like that. If something happens, call for help!"
Sean gripped his wand tightly as he ran.
Parvati Patil was most likely also under the influence of the Imperius Curse, and Sean thought that Trelawney's entry into the Prophecy state was interrupted earlier, which might mean that his presence had already been detected.
Then Parvati is likely to run into trouble!
"That's the one, sir!" the little girl running ahead shouted, pointing to a wooden door.
Sean had just run over when he heard a girl scream from inside.
With a single spell, he opened the door and saw Parvati Patil, dressed in pajamas, floating listlessly in mid-air, her life force rapidly fading away.
Her roommates were screaming loudly, and her sister Padma Patil tried to grab her older sister.
Sean immediately spotted a strange Opal Necklace lying on the ground and shouted, "Don't touch her!"
"Sean?!"
The curse caster wanted to kill him to silence him!
Sean raised his wand. "Finite Incantatem!"
Parvati, who had been floating in mid-air, finally fell down. Sean walked over and kicked the Opal Necklace away. The necklace rolled into a corner where there was a broken glass bottle.
Sean glanced at it, then began chanting the anti-evil spell over and over again towards Parvati.
"What happened..." her sister Padma sobbed beside her.
Sean's hands didn't stop moving. During a pause in his incantation, he asked, "What did she do before?"
"Parvati was very strange... We were chatting in bed when she suddenly stood up as if she had lost her mind, and then she frantically rummaged through her suitcase, finally pulling out a bottle containing a strange silver substance..." Padma was sobbing, but her thoughts were still relatively clear.
"She used a spell to smash the bottle, then she found the necklace, and then... and then it was what you see."
The Memory Bottle, Parvati shattered a memory... Sean's brows furrowed deeply.
Based on Trelawney's strange state when she was unconscious, an idea popped into Sean's mind.
Parvati and Lavender were both under the influence of the Imperius Curse, and then they split up, using that strange magic to induce Trelawney's Prophecy form in a drunken state, which was the magical fluctuation that Sean sensed.
This state may be entered only after a triggering process, so Trelawney's Prophecy may be incomplete.
Parvati and Lavender should extract Trelawney's memories each time and then piece together a complete Prophecy through multiple trips.
The Returners... Sean was almost certain of the mastermind's identity.
Among the Returners are several Ancient Greek Seer. Only Seer understand Seer. They must not be able to make Prophecy in their ghostly form, so they found Trelawney. They also know how to awaken this latent Seer bloodline.
The key question now is what Trelawney actually Prophecy, and whether that Prophecy was ever sent out of Hogwarts.
As they chanted the Antidote over and over again, a commotion arose outside, waking all the students and bringing the professors to the Gryffindor Common Room.
Professor McGonagall ran out of the dormitory, panting heavily.
"Ha...ha... Mr. Wallop ...how is the situation..."
"His life should be saved, but he will need Madam Pomfrey for further treatment."
After Parvati was still unconscious but had finally regained a faint breath, was carried out, Sean said to Professor McGonagall, "Professor Trelawney's true Prophecy memory should have been extracted. The person who cast the Imperius Curse should have taken the memory when the Imperius Curse was replenished every two days. Parvati's last extracted memory hadn't been taken yet, so he wanted to destroy the memory and also kill to silence her."
Professor McGonagall's hair was disheveled, and she was trembling with rage. "That bastard, that bastard..."
Following behind was Professor Babbling, Ancient Runes. She adjusted her glasses; she now had a general understanding of the situation.
"What about Miss Brown?"
"We can check it, but I think the memories Lavender took last time have already been taken, and this time the memories are very likely also..."
Since Lavender's abilities wouldn't have allowed him to detect Sean's presence, it means that someone was hiding nearby who noticed Sean and then gave instructions to Lavender.
Thinking of this, Sean patted his head in regret.
At the time, when Lavender attacked him, that person was most likely hiding in the office!
With his attention focused on Lavender and Trelawney, he failed to notice the other person hiding there!
Professor McGonagall checked Lavender Brown's luggage and, as expected, found no Memory Bottle, but she did find another magical trinket that could kill instantly.
She took a deep breath. "Get everyone to the Great Hall. We won't be able to sleep tonight..."
