Noble Bloodline
It wasn't that Sean was overly suspicious; rather, it was his long-cultivated cautious nature that had led to all of this.
For Sean, the further he goes down the path of magic, the more he discovers its wonder and unknown. This unknown excites him but also makes him cautious, because there are too many magics he doesn't understand and too many amazing abilities he doesn't know. Among them, there may be some kind of spell that can do things that Sean never imagined.
Although he had the knowledge and skills imparted by Dumbledore and Grindelwald, the magic that could surpass Sean's imagination was limited. But in any case, being more cautious was never a bad thing.
Furthermore, Malfoy's actions were not entirely clandestine; anyone with a discerning eye could easily notice his unusual interest in Theodore Nott —and Sean had never forgotten that the Returners ' spies were still hidden within Slytherin.
If Dumbledore hadn't asked him not to bother with that Slytherin student, given Sean's personality, the student would probably be lying in some dark room by now.
Therefore, Sean had to consider that Malfoy's actions were being watched by someone with ulterior motives, and that his relationship with Malfoy was not entirely secret. So, the other party might set a trap based on this.
No matter how small the probability, it cannot be ignored. Of course, we also cannot ignore important information that may appear just because the probability is low.
After thinking quietly for a while, Sean decided to make some arrangements before going to see Theodore Nott.
As buildings situated at the bottom of the Black Lake, Slytherin Common Room and student dormitories are perpetually dark, so the campfires and torches burn brightly every day.
As for the Little Snakes, they were used to this environment in their house. Of course, they were a little uncomfortable having to rely on non-natural light for illumination every day, so many Slytherin students bought extra magical lighting equipment.
Recently, the Crystal Stone produced in Diagon Alley have become very popular. These Crystal Stone have a faint glow and amplify other light sources, making the whole room bright.
Theodore Nott's single room did not contain the Crystal Stone that almost every Slytherin student had. He did not like to place himself in an environment that was too bright, and he felt that the reflected light from the Crystal Stone somewhat disrupted the deep, dark green color scheme of Slytherin, making it lose its mysterious and noble feel.
As a pure -Pureblood Wizard, Theodore Nott preferred to contemplate alone in deep, dark environments, listening to the whispers of the Black Lake at night.
If only Draco Malfoy weren't such a hassle... Theodore Nott thought to himself.
As a prominent Pure-blood families in England, the Nott family is less influential than the Malfoy Family. In terms of both wealth and power, the Nott family has been on a downward trend.
Therefore, before starting school, Old Man Nott had instructed his son to get along well with the young master of the Malfoy Family.
Theodore Nott was somewhat dismissive of this. The Nott family Nott family had a longer history and a purer bloodline, but for various reasons, people only thought of them as a small branch of the England mainland. He couldn't loudly proclaim to the world. "I have the purest blood of wizards flowing through my veins."
He believed he had every right to be proud, and should continue to be so. He disliked participating in those tedious activities and didn't like fooling around with other students—it was immature and beneath the honor in his blood.
Draco Malfoy was a bit stronger than he had imagined, so he was still somewhat willing to have an equal exchange with him.
However, ever since the other party founded that so-called Society of Pureblood Glory, Theodore Nott has been somewhat annoyed by this young Malfoy.
It wasn't just the seemingly joking organization, but also the other party's inexplicable enthusiasm— Malfoy seemed eager to recruit him into his organization.
He had no interest in such an organization. He had heard that decades ago, another wizarding organization had emerged in Slytherin, which Society of Pureblood Glory. Of course, this was related to the different ideologies and methods of the two organizations, but none of that concerned Theodore Nott.
That organization has long since disappeared without a trace, and the organization founded by Malfoy will likely meet the same fate.
For Theodore Nott, there was almost no point in participating in activities that would leave no trace in history—he had the noblest blood in his veins, so he should engage in activities befitting his status, rather than playing around with children.
The Triwizard Cup should have been a great opportunity, but he wasn't old enough to participate. This was one of Theodore Nott's biggest frustrations lately; he was too young to compete, and by the time the next tournament began, he would have already graduated from Hogwarts.
Theodore Nott was particularly envious of Sean Waller- Wallerup and Daisy Potter, who had bypassed the age limit. He felt that the latter did not deserve to participate in such a prestigious event, as being beautiful did not grant her special privileges.
As for Sean Wallerup, he didn't think much of him. Wallep had already proven his abilities and had participated in enough events to go down in history.
He was taken away by Grindelwald, witnessed the Paris Night, repelled the first enemy to Hogwarts in hundreds of years, and caused the Triwizard Cup to undergo an anomaly...
All these major events are enough to show that Sean Wallerup's name will be recorded in the wizarding annals—something Theodore Nott has always longed for.
The only thing that bothered him was that the other party came from the Muggle Family and was obviously of commoner blood. Although he was a Slytherin student, Theodore Nott believed that he did not discriminate against Half-blood and Muggle-born. However, it was clear that if the wizard involved in those major events was someone with noble blood, everything would be more perfect.
For example, myself...
Always a loner, he sought to find a path to join history, so as not to betray the blood flowing in his veins. This would be the goal he would strive for his entire life.
Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to have any good solutions at the moment, and his father Old Man Nott, seems to have long lost his ambition, let alone made a name for himself in history.
However, it seems his luck is about to change...
Theodore Nott, sitting at his desk in his dormitory, looked up, dipped his quill in ink again, and continued writing on the parchment.
"... Father, that concludes my greetings and report on my recent situation. Now, I have a small question that I hope you can answer."
"I have seen the genealogy about our family history, and all the information shows that the Nott family's bloodline comes from an even more ancient place. I have asked you about it many times, but you have only given me a vague answer."
"But I know in my heart that the magic coursing through my veins is far older than that of others."
"I have been searching for the true origins of the Nott family, and recently I seem to have gotten some clues—I would like to ask you, is our family the only Nott family in the world, and do we have any family members who have been lost elsewhere?"
"I don't expect you to reveal the whole truth to me directly, but I long for you to give me a path to seek the truth on my own. All I need is for you to answer this question."
"Your loyal son, Theodore."
Theodore Nott placed the quill on the table, folded the parchment, put it in the envelope, and then sealed it with wax bearing the Nott family Crest.
Theodore Nott gently stroked the rough letter paper, his eyes becoming deep and expectant.
He believed that his doting father would not be stingy with the answer, and once he got it, the truth of some things could be revealed.
Theodore Nott licked his slightly dry lips as he heard Reinhardt Nott's words echo in his ears again. He had finally found some purpose in his boring and lowly school life, a purpose related to dreams and the meaning of life.
but...
Recalling Reinhardt Nott's defeat at the hands of Sean Wallerup, Theodore Nott shook his head; the latter's performance seemed unworthy of his noble bloodline...
However, it doesn't matter; it doesn't affect his own goals.
The only thing that puzzled him was why Reinhardt Nott had suddenly contacted him, and how the other man had found out all of this...
There seems to be an ancient organization behind this person, otherwise he wouldn't have said things that only ancient families would understand... I just don't know if that guy is a lost bloodline of the Nott family, or comes from an even more ancient main family...
Theodore Nott stretched his neck slightly and stood up; he was going to mail the letter home.
As Theodore Nott left his dormitory and entered the Slytherin Common Room, he instinctively looked around, searching for Draco Malfoy.
The guy had a strange interest in him and seemed to have some interest in the history of the Nott family as well. However, in Theodore Nott's opinion, the other party might want to find more about the history of the Nott family in order to establish the Malfoy Family's leading position among the Pure-blood families.
He shook his head slightly— the Nott family was far more noble than the Malfoy Family ...much more noble.
After searching around and not finding Malfoy, Theodore Nott started walking outside. As a well-known lone wolf in Slytherin, no one but Malfoy would bother to talk to him.
Upon arriving at the Owlery, he summoned his purebred British Long-Eared Owl. This owl was not purchased from the Magical Menagerie, but was personally bred by an old owl trader known to the Nott family.
Theodore Nott was quite satisfied with his pet; both its appearance and abilities were worthy of its noble bloodline. Of course, this fellow was also one of the nobler owls.
A majestic owl with long ears flapped its wings and flew over, remaining motionless as its owner tied the letter to its ankle, demonstrating its well-trained nature.
Unlike the adorable little creatures in Magical Creatures, this British Long-Eared Owl is specially trained by the owl trader to counter tracking and interception, and it has also learned additional flight routes.
Watching the owl fly away, Theodore Nott straightened his collar with satisfaction, even though only one or two owl feathers were stuck to it.
After habitually glancing around again to make sure he wasn't being followed, Theodore Nott left satisfied.
Shortly after he left, the air rippled slightly.
Sean emerged from the air in the low bushes behind the Owlery.
He had been observing Theodore Nott's movements through the Marauder's Map, and upon discovering that the other had left the Slytherin dormitory, he immediately used the Disillusionment Charm to follow him.
"Send a letter..." Sean glanced in the direction the owl had gone.
He reached out and revealed the ring. Under the incantation, the gemstone on the ring rapidly expanded, then transformed into a huge entrance.
Two golden figures flew out from within and then quickly disappeared into the horizon.
Intercepting owls isn't difficult; even the Ministry of Magic can easily intercept ordinary civilian owls. However, just to be on the safe side, Sean still dispatched his best hunters. If your owl can escape the Thunderbird's pursuit, my suggestion is to enroll it in school; it's such a waste to use it for delivering letters.
Sean arrived at the edge of the Forbidden Forest at Hogwarts. His Disillusionment Charm and the Room of Requirement's access ensured that he could move freely within the Hogwarts grounds without attracting anyone's attention—except, of course, figures like Dumbledore and Grindelwald.
After waiting for a while at the edge of the Forbidden Forest, two fleeting shadows on the horizon rapidly grew larger.
Sean smiled and waved. He knew his Thunderbird wouldn't let him down—how about rewarding each of the two little guys with a whole sheep?
However, Sean's smile froze on his face; within that dark gold shadow, there seemed to be a gray shadow mixed in...
When did that Aero-Wing Bird catch up...?
Because of their ability to control lightning, Thunderbird can easily use thunderclouds to conceal their whereabouts, while Aero-Wing Bird are better suited for long-distance flights carrying a lot of cargo—these creatures eat a lot and have incredible stamina.
However, Sean was genuinely worried that this foolish guy would expose their whereabouts during this clandestine operation.
Two Thunderbird landed, with a clumsy-looking Aero-Wing Bird sandwiched between them.
Sean sighed, "Why did you go with them...?"
The Aero-Wing Bird puffed out its cheeks, flapped its wings forcefully, and made a muffled sound.
"Alright, alright, you get a reward too—wait, where's my owl? No, where's that guy's owl?"
The two Thunderbird pointed at the Aero-Wing Bird.
The Aero-Wing Bird puffed out its chest proudly, its beak, resembling a hybrid of a platypus and a pelican, swaying slightly.
With a "splat," it spat out a British Long-Eared Owl that was covered in saliva and had long since passed out.
Sean: "..."
