Sean the Sharp-Tongued
Sean and Hermione were walking back to the Common Room.
"How could Professor Riddle teach us such..." She glanced at Sean, "Such, such powerful magic, and we're only first graders!"
Clearly, even Hermione, a believer in authority, was quite dissatisfied with Riddle, both for his remarks in class and his teaching of magic. However, considering Sean's excellent performance, she used a softer word.
Sean gave an innocent look. "To be honest, I didn't expect that curse to be so terrifying."
"Professor Riddle even said it could be used for pranks! Good heavens, that guy..." Hermione frowned, a hint of pity in her eyes. She glanced at Sean, her expression worried. "But Sean, it's not your fault..."
"Don't worry, Hermione, I don't feel guilty."
In fact, Sean didn't take it to heart at all. That tall guy named Mori didn't hold back from the start. If Sean was hit by that curse, he would be in pain for a while, even though he only released one curse.
Along the way, the classmates who were originally quite friendly to Sean unconsciously distanced themselves from him. It seemed that Sean would have to endure a period of 'neglect' before Mori's screams disappeared from their minds.
Harry and his group, though their expressions were somewhat strange, still came over.
"Sean, did you have some famous Archmage in your family?" Harry asked, winking.
"Yes, Merlin is at the very top of my family tree." Sean nodded seriously.
Ron's eyes widened in surprise, and he asked in disbelief, "Sean, you have Merlin's blood?!"
Others: "..."
As they walked into the corner of the corridor, Ron still looked puzzled, but Sean and the others' attention had already been drawn to a group of people ahead.
Two groups of people are facing off on the castle's spacious stone corridor.
"Sterling, if you can't control your foul mouth, I'll give you a good wash." Charlotte had already raised her wand, her voice icy.
Across from her, Sterling casually twirled his wand between his fingers twice and lazily said, "Miss Hawke, since when can't we even state the facts?"
Upon hearing this, several Hogwarts students behind Charlotte showed angry expressions and took a step forward together.
However, on the Newmontgard side, a group of people still wore mocking expressions. Faced with the Hogwarts students' actions, they took out their wands and did not give an inch.
"Is this how Hogwarts treats guests who have come from afar? That's not very polite, sir... um, Miss Hogwarts?" A nasty male voice with a thick Germany accent rang out.
Sean unconsciously licked his lips. It was the guy who had stopped him in the Great Hall yesterday.
Charlotte glanced at him and said coldly, "Is Newmontgard now also recruiting wizards with Troll bloodlines?"
The boy didn't seem angry at all; he was clearly a seasoned verbal sparring expert. He bowed slightly, a provocative smile playing on his lips, "I forgot to introduce myself. El Hoffman, a seventh-year student in Newmontgard, um, Miss Hogg."
"What's going on?" Sean tugged at a familiar fourth-year Ravenclaw student in front of him.
"Those bastards said in front of Charlotte that Kaya deserved it in last year's Triwizard Tournament."
Kaya was a sixth-year Ravenclaw student who participated in last year's Triwizard Tournament and spent the rest of the semester at St Mungo's Hospital because of the opponent's curse.
Sean nodded. Given Charlotte's personality, she wouldn't tolerate anyone mocking her teammates.
The standoff continues, perhaps because both sides are mindful that today is the first day of the Academic Exchange, and are still only in the stage of mocking each other.
However, since they lost last year, Charlotte and her team are clearly at a disadvantage in terms of morale.
Sean blinked and pushed his way through the crowd to Charlotte's side.
"Sean, go back." Charlotte stepped in front of Sean, and although both sides were currently restraining themselves, she was already on the verge of making a move.
Even if it means being locked up afterwards.
Sterling raised an eyebrow. He did remember Sean, but for the male president of Newmontgard, bullying a first-year wizard was a disgrace.
Hoffman grinned with interest. "I remember you, junior. Because of you, my first impression of Hogwarts wasn't very good. Hmm, aren't you going to apologize to me?"
Sean flashed his signature elegant smile, "Ho... Homan? Mr. Grindelwald will be very disappointed to see you like this."
Hoffman narrowed his eyes immediately. "Do you know what you're saying, kid?"
"Let me briefly analyze your psychology. You don't know Miss Hawke, which means you weren't qualified to participate in the Triwizard Tournament last year, and you probably didn't even get a chance to watch."
"Then, the fact that you followed next to Mr. Sterling without falling any behind shows that you think highly of yourself and believe that you are on the same level as Mr. Sterling and Miss Charlotte."
"You also like to play with your hair and your eyes keep drifting towards the ladies present, which shows that you crave attention from the opposite sex."
"At the same time, you keep touching that ring on your hand. If I'm not mistaken, it should be Magical Item artifact made by alchemy. It seems that you are not very confident in your own abilities. Hmm, it may also be to show off your valuable Magical Watch."
"Oh, right, I forgot to tell you, that Magical Watch you made at the Cornet Workshop is probably fake. The real Magical Watch ... let me see... Oh, Draco, come here."
Sean grabbed Malfoy, who was watching the show from the side, and pulled up his sleeve to reveal an exquisite wristwatch. Snowflakes were falling continuously on the dial, and the minutes would start ticking when the hands were covered with snow.
"Look, the weather spell on the dial interacts with the hands." He looked at Malfoy. "Draco, it must be expensive, right?"
A bewildered Malfoy instinctively raised his head. "This was a gift from my father, it costs thirty Galleon."
"Tsk, the top choice for big families." Sean pushed Malfoy back into the crowd and smiled at Hoffman, whose face had turned ashen.
"It seems that Alchemical Item and expensive Magical Watch can't coexist, am I right? Uh, Hoff?"
The Hogwarts students burst into laughter, and even some Newmontgard students secretly turned their heads away.
Hermione clutched her wrist in surprise. Sean's Christmas present to her was so expensive?!
Hoffman gritted his teeth; there was nothing more humiliating in the world than losing face in public.
"You're good, kid..."
