Overview

The Dao Sect is one of the Eight Great Super Sects of the Eastern Xuan Region. Its ancestral grounds lie at the center of a mountain range stretching hundreds of thousands of miles, guarded by dependent dynasties and a vast defensive light barrier. The sect is divided into four halls and possesses cultivation resources gathered over generations through large-scale formations. 202

The sect is a direct descendant of the Symbol Ancestor. Its Desolation Hall safeguards the Desolation Stone, the Great Desolation Stele, and the inheritance of the Great Desolation Scripture. 217 231

• The sect is situated in the southwestern Eastern Xuan Region, within a vast mountain range surrounded by powerful dynasties. 202

History

Wu Dao first approached Lin Dong after the Azure Dragon Hall inheritance and offered him direct admission to the Dao Sect, initially proposing that he bypass the Hundred Dynasties War. Lin Dong declined this first offer, insisting that he would earn his own choice of sect at Hundred Dynasties Mountain. 176 He later accepted Wu Dao's offer to become a Senior Direct Disciple of Desolation Hall and was tasked with winning the Hundred Dynasties War championship for the Dao Sect. 177

Following Lin Dong's victory in the Hundred Dynasties War, Wu Dao brought him and the other new disciples to the Dao Sect. Lin Dong was formally placed in Desolation Hall, while the sect's Four Halls selected the remaining recruits. 202

The sect rewarded Lin Dong for five major contributions: winning the Hundred Dynasties championship, defeating Yuan Gate's champion, defending the Ancient Dimension, assisting recruitment, and seizing the Heaven Sealing Array Map. He became Desolation Hall's fifth True Disciple and later its Chief Disciple after defeating Pang Tong. 206 214

Lin Dong's inheritance of the Great Desolation Scripture became a major event for the Dao Sect. The resulting desolation fluctuation spread across tens of miles, and the sect celebrated his success as a restoration of Desolation Hall's former glory under Zhou Tong. 233 Lin Dong later defeated the other hall representatives in the sect competition, becoming the head of the four halls and the strongest member of the Dao Sect's younger generation. 242

The Dao Sect's long conflict with Yuan Gate escalated after the Sect Competition. When Yuan Gate attempted to seize Lin Dong, the four Hall Masters defended him, while Ying Xuanzi joined outside allies in forcing Yuan Gate's leaders to retreat. 283 284 291 The sect later learned that Yuan Gate had risen with support from the Demon Clan rather than through an ancient sect inheritance. 254 296

After Zhou Tong's return, Ying Xuanzi hosted the leaders of the other Super Sects at the Dao Sect. The meeting led to a secret offensive and defensive alliance among seven sects. 296 301 During the later war, Dao Sect became the host and undisputed leader of this alliance, with three Reincarnation Stage experts publicly supporting its position. 412

Desolation Stone and Desolation Art

The Desolation Stone is a Pure Yuan Treasure derived from the Great Desolation Stele. It contains Desolation Power used for cultivating the Desolation Art. 217
