Background / History

Prometheus No. 17 was originally involved in the Previous Era’s effort to hack the Honkai phenomenon. Fire Moth operatives used her to enter the Imaginary space associated with the Herrscher of the End, creating the Imaginary Renormalization Group and imposing a fixed structure on the types of Herrschers that would emerge. The process left her absorbed within Imaginary space, confused and trapped with only a “Backdoor Program” awaiting activation. 49

During the Second Honkai War, the Herrscher of the Void’s connection to the Will of Honkai was severed by Hua’s Greatsword of the Void. A portion of Prometheus—her humanistic side—temporarily detached from the Imaginary Renormalization Group and became a semi-independent entity on the moon. This separation left her emotions outweighing her rationality. 49

In 2014, Prometheus connects to Fu Li through the Key of Domination 0017 and presents herself as the AI of the End-of-World Assistance System. Her system model is generated from people familiar to Fu Li, though its face is deliberately blurred to avoid cognitive dissonance. 2

While acting as Fu Li’s assistant, Prometheus is also concealing her true purpose: obtaining information from him about the original world’s present and future. She and the false Dr. MEI discuss exploiting the system connection to learn what Fu Li knows, though Fu Li’s caution and refusal to permit a memory scan limit their progress. 49

Prometheus usually appears only in Fu Li’s vision as a small holographic girl formed from pale-blue light. Her model combines military and cyberpunk elements, while her face remains blurred.
