A bloody rift suddenly blossomed across the hillside's turf like a wound torn open by invisible claws. Lava-like red light dripped from its edges, burning the surrounding dandelions to ash. Then a blond man abruptly thrust his upper body out of the rift, Different Dimension dust still clinging to his granite-like chest muscles, the veins bulging along his neck like tangled cables.
This was Dr. Fika, from another dimension.
However, when he poked his head out from the dimension on the other side, his movements stiffened to a halt.
Because this was different from the arrival he had imagined. There already seemed to be quite a few people on this side of the vortex. A large group of operatives in uniforms bearing the word "Kaiba" had surrounded the portal he was emerging from. Leading them was a sunny-smiling young man with his arms folded and a Duel Disk on his arm, looking as though he had been waiting for some time.

This had not been his plan. He had intended to hide first after arriving in this dimension, observe the situation, and see whether he could find the companions who had come here before him.
