Christmas time flies by so fast...
For example, right now... Kayson and the others were lying around in Black family manor when school started.
Fortunately, the task of escorting the train was assigned to Grindelwald, while Kayson was given the task of patrolling Hogwarts.
Although Hogwarts is enormous, it's still much better than leaving in the morning and arriving at night, spending the whole day sitting on a metal butt.
As evening fell, Kayson sat happily on the High Table, watching the young wizards gradually arrive, feeling a sense of satisfaction.
Snape frowned.
"What's wrong? Why are you still unhappy that school has finally started?" Kayson asked curiously.
"Not everyone can enjoy going to work as much as you and SpongeBob do, but that's not why I'm talking about that. It's just that Slytherin is missing someone," Snape explained.
"Who is it?" Kayson asked, glancing towards the Slytherin table.
Oh ho! There is indeed someone missing, and the missing person is someone we know, Maple Loglin!
Could it be that she's afraid of being attacked with Avada Kedavra by Orland when she gets back, and that's why she's too scared to go to school?
Kayson sipped his drink as he pondered.
Just then, a truly imposing-looking owl Accio in from afar and flew straight toward Snape.
After taking the envelope, the latter didn't offer the owl any treats like the others did. Instead, he simply waved his hand, and a burst of magic sent the owl package flying.
When Kayson saw the letter, he didn't say anything. Instead, he nestled in his chair and waited quietly for the food to be served.
Snape, standing next to him, used too much force and slammed the letter in his hand down on the other person with a loud thud.
"What's wrong?" Kayson asked.
"I'll talk to you when I get back. I have some other things to take care of first." With that, he stood up and led Slughorn into the hallway.
The two returned quickly, but their faces clearly showed signs of distress.
"Did you have a fight?" Kayson asked.
"No, we had some arguments, and I think he's been too lenient with these young wizards!" Snape said, his voice dripping with coldness.
"What happened?"
Snape didn't answer him, but simply handed him the letter.
After taking it, Kayson glanced at it briefly, then his expression became incredibly awkward.
The letter's meaning was very simple and clear: because Maple Luo had Amortentia Orland, Orland being sentenced to half a month in Azkaban. He had already served fourteen days and was only one day away from release, so he was requesting a day off.
Kayson immediately put on a mask of pain. "So why would Hogwarts give someone such an illegal Potions?"
Snape shrugged. " England traditional craft. Making it is legal, but using it is illegal."
"So... this is the first case I've seen... Your Potions Class was really skillful, teaching such a group of teenagers, but not a single one of them got into Azkaban. I admire you," Kayson exclaimed.
"Of course!" Snape was unconsciously a little proud, but then his face inevitably fell.
Because this little wizard who used the Amortentia, unfortunately, was from Slytherin.
The problem is that this Potions should theoretically be a sixth-grade subject, and the Grimm family doesn't know much about Potions. In Diagon Alley, you also need to register with an adult wizard's wand to buy it.
So where did Maple Loglin's Amortentia come from?
Clearly, it was Slughorn who taught him, perhaps because he was attracted by the Green family's influence. It was no surprise that Slughorn brought Maple Luo into the group.
And they're even recklessly giving us special treatment...
"He's still the same after all these years, always liking to teach his students knowledge that they can't grasp," Dumbledore remarked from the side.
"Speaking of which, where is he?" Kayson looked to the other side of Dumbledore. Slughorn had just returned with Snape, but now he was nowhere to be found.
"He's trying to get someone to smooth things over for Miss Green," Professor McGonagall explained. "He just complained to me about it. Apparently, he thinks a little wizard asking him about such dangerous knowledge has absolutely no bad intentions, it's just to satisfy his curiosity. How many times has he gotten himself into big trouble because of this mentality?"
"Too many to count," Dumbledore sighed.
"But Maple Luo was released from prison in a day, no, just one night." Kayson pinched the bridge of his nose. He wasn't worried about Maple Luo; firstly, the distribution of Dementor in Azkaban was quite strategic.
Most Dementor are concentrated in the center of Azkaban, where Dark Wizard and Death Eater are imprisoned.
Secondly, during Sirius's prison break and the two times they deliberately staked out Azkaban, the Dementor in Azkaban had been virtually wiped out. Going to Azkaban at this point was simply a change of scenery for Christmas...
Poor Maple Luo, he's taken the blame for Voldemort twice.
I memorized it once at Orland and again at the Ministry of Magic.
As for why Kayson didn't go to help...
I didn't know about this before... but now I do...
"Do you think Horace can succeed?" Professor McGonagall suddenly asked.
"If it were the old Fudge House, they might have been willing to give him face, but the current Barty Crouch might not be so accommodating," Dumbledore commented.
Sure enough, Slughorn returned looking disheveled very soon.
"How is it? Is it done?" Professor McGonagall asked curiously.
"It didn't work out." Slughorn sighed. " Barty Crouch has been secretly purging suspicious Pure-blood from the Ministry of Magic all this time, and my connections have unknowingly become almost useless."
"What the hell is this 'suspicious Pure-blood' thing?" Kayson, fiddling with a bunch of pixelated plants in front of him as he pulled out Alchemy Table.
"Any Pure-blood who might have a positive relationship with the the Dark Lord is a suspected Pure-blood, including but not limited to centrist Pure-blood, and Pure-blood I know... because that guy Barty Crouch knows I once taught... Anyway, let's eat, let's eat!" Slughorn suddenly stopped halfway through his sentence and sighed helplessly.
