A figure in black robes, their face obscured, knelt on the ground. Before them lay a severely wounded unicorn, silver-white blood flowing from its neck as the robed figure lapped it up mouthful by mouthful.
The two sides should originally have had no reason to cross paths. One side had planned to take the main road and simply patrol.
The other had deliberately chosen this remote, untraveled place. Both sides tacitly wished to avoid unnecessary trouble.
Until Kayson, for some reason, decided to take the straight route, and the two sides ran right into each other.
The black-robed figure turned around as well and spotted Kayson and the young wizards.
"Spread out. Find cover and hide." Kayson gave the order without hesitation. This black-robed figure was different from Ronan.
Ronan was a native creature of the Forbidden Forest. There was nothing strange about him appearing there, much less any malicious intent.
But this person, sneaking into the Forbidden Forest in the dead of night to kill unicorns and drink their blood, was unmistakably a Dark Wizard. Dark Wizards had to be eliminated as quickly and decisively as possible.
Three Wither Skeleton Skulls, radiating decay and death, shrieked as they shot toward the black-robed figure.
The figure waved a wand and swiftly knocked one aside. But with the other two about to hit them head-on, they could only roll desperately to the side.
Two Wither Skeleton Skulls exploded against the ground, while the one knocked away detonated against a towering tree.
At the same time, visible decay rapidly spread across both blast sites. The soil was fine, but the poor tree was almost instantly reduced to something like charcoal.
