As for why, well, the main storyline just won't progress QAQ.
"This school will be your safe haven for the next seven years. After all, it's no exaggeration to say that Hogwarts is the safest place in the world right now."
"However, I still have to remind you that Hogwarts is not your own home. Don't take out your spoiled brat tempers at Hogwarts, or something terrible will happen," Professor McGonagall said with a smile as she led the young wizards into the Entrance Hall.
This is her first time hosting these events, and also her first time hosting the Sorting Ceremony, so she is naturally even more excited.
"Professor, what is the terrifying thing you mentioned?" James Potter Porter asked, raising his hand immediately.
"There are two things," Alchemy Professor McGonagall said with a smile. "First, when you make a mistake, don't let Professor McGonagall castle caretaker Filch, catch you. He'll hang you from the rafters and spin you around like a top. Second, unless absolutely necessary, try not to appear in front of Professor Thorne Heath. I can't guarantee he won't secretly drag you into his office and do something shady."
"Is it scary?" another young wizard asked.
"His major is Flesh Alchemy."
Kayson scratched his nose somewhat awkwardly. This name... it just sounds evil.
"Before that, I have to ask you one more question: does any of you have any special bloodlines, including but not limited to Giant, Werewolf, vampires, Ghoul, Troll, Veela, leprechauns, centaurs, Goblin, elves, or any non-human bloodline? If so, please come to my office or your respective Head of House's office in private. Dumbledore's office is also acceptable. You need... to seek refuge," Professor McGonagall asked finally.
"Professor, does Hogwarts discriminate against these bloodlines?" Sirius asked.
" Hogwarts doesn't discriminate, but your Professor Heath does. He has assassinated Hagrid, the Keeper of the Forbidden Forest Hagrid, and Professor Flitwick, the Head of House of Ravenclaw, more than once. Although he failed, Dumbledore came to his rescue the first time, and Professor Flitwick's strength was too great the second time."
"But you won't have that kind of luck. You know, the centaurs in the Forbidden Forest and the merfolk in the Black Lake were almost wiped out by the Heath. If it weren't for Dumbledore's strong intervention and protection," Professor McGonagall said seriously.
"Is it because Professor Heath will hurt them if he's unhappy?" Lily asked, frowning.
Professor McGonagall shook her head.
Lily's expression remained puzzled.
"It's because Heath isn't happy that he doesn't hurt those creatures... But if you are all of pure human blood, regardless of whether you are wizards or Muggle, as long as you are human, then he will always be your most loyal support." Professor McGonagall comforted them again, clearly not wanting the young wizards to be too afraid.
"Racial discrimination, bloodline fastidiousness, and even Flesh Alchemy —doesn't this Professor Heath have another name, Neos?" Kayson whispered.
"What did you say?" Snape asked, hearing Kayson murmur.
"Oh, it's a joke. By the way, before Professor McGonagall went off-topic, did you all hear what those colleges were talking about?" Kayson asked.
Lily: "Didn't you hear me?"
"I listened after things went off-topic, but before that... I didn't," Kayson said somewhat awkwardly.
"... Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff," Snape repeated.
"I see. This academy should be similar to a class, right? It shouldn't have much of an impact." Kayson shrugged.
"Actually, in some cases it's not even a class. If you have to say, it should be four different dormitories in four different buildings," Snape explained. Then, seeing the puzzled looks on Kayson and Lily's faces, he continued, "Logical thinking! Just compare Professor McGonagall's description of these four colleges with your common sense and you'll understand."
"So which college are you all planning to go to?" Kayson asked.
" Professor McGonagall said we'll be divided into two groups, so we probably won't be able to choose," Lily shook her head.
"I'm fine with anything as long as I'm not in the same college as those two guys," Snape said quietly.
"I'm fine with either, whichever college wants me, I'll go there."
Besides the whispers of Kayson and his two companions, the hushed prayers of everyone else in the Entrance Hall also reached their ears.
"Yeah, me too, I'm fine with anything except Slytherin..."
"No Slytherin, please no Slytherin..."
Kayson rubbed his nose. "Why don't they want to go to Slytherin?"
Unlike Kayson's question and Snape's silence, Lily chose to ask directly, "Why don't you want to go to Slytherin?"
The classmate who was called looked at Lily and scratched her head, "I thought you were from the Weasley family, aren't you?"
Lily shook her head, bewildered.
Seeing this, the classmate began to explain, "Then it seems you come from Muggle family, as the Dark Lord, the one whose name can't be spoken, whose subordinates are all Death Eater. You should know who he is, right? He's a Slytherin graduate. Now, because he's an upperclassman, the Slytherin Slytherin just as obsessed as him, all hostile to Muggle-born wizard and Half-blood wizards— Death Eater trainees. I advise you, if you're sorted into Slytherin, you must protest! But you definitely won't get away with it."
Kayson and Snape, standing behind Lily, listened in stunned silence.
"Why does this Hogwarts seem so dangerous? Look at you, what are you two... what's your family background?" Kayson changed his question halfway through.
"My parents don't know magic, so they must be Muggle," Lily said.
"My mom can, but my dad can't, so I must be Half-blood," Snape replied.
"Oh, so you all have both parents alive. My apologies for not respecting you," Kayson said seriously.
Snape: "..."
Lily: "..."
"I remember your parents were killed by that so-called the Dark Lord... Anyway, now I have to pray I won't go to Slytherin. It's best to stay away from a place that's not right for me," Snape said quietly.
Kayson nodded. "Yeah, yeah."
Professor McGonagall soon returned. She took out her wand and waved it, and the heavy doors of the Entrance Hall were slowly pushed open.
"Keep your discipline, don't fall behind, and follow my lead," Professor McGonagall said as she walked ahead.
Then he stood next to a hat, took out a piece of parchment, and began to read.
" John Abott!"
A sturdy little boy ran over in a panic and was forced into a chair by Professor McGonagall and had the Sorting Hat put on him.
Hufflepuff!
As a burst of enthusiastic applause erupted from the Hufflepuff table, John Abott, his face flushed, excitedly ran towards Hufflepuff.
"That's it? It's that simple?" Kayson raised an eyebrow.
Snape, standing to the side, shook his head. "No, it's not simple at all. This sorting is completely passive; we have no choice at all. The decision of which house we're assigned to will be made by the hat!"
"Oh... then I guess I'll just have to leave it to fate," Kayson sighed.
Soon, two more familiar faces went up: Sirius Black and James Potter, whom I had met briefly on the train. They were later assigned to Gryffindor, and the applause was normal.
However, after the former was sorted into Gryffindor, an eerie silence filled the entire Hogwarts Great Hall, as if something was amiss.
However, they quickly seemed to realize what was happening and burst into applause that was even more intense than before.
On the other side, at the Slytherin table, the atmosphere felt as if someone had died...
It is quite striking in contrast to the atmosphere of Gryffindor.
It gives the impression that destiny lies in red, not green.
Then many unfamiliar young wizards went up and were called to their respective houses. When they learned that Lily's name had also been called, as Gryffindor called out from the hat, Kayson also noticed Snape's bulging veins on his arm.
"Oh, how should I comfort you? It's just two different dorm rooms... Anyway, you're different genders, so you'll still have to share two dorm rooms," Kayson offered a dry attempt at comfort.
Snape turned back and stared blankly at Kayson: "If you're really not good at it, you don't have to comfort me."
"I understand." Kayson nodded.
The ceremony at the academy was quick, and soon it was time for Kayson to arrive.
Sitting under his hat, Kayson hummed a song leisurely. His thoughts remained the same: he was fine with anywhere, whether it was a comfortable job at a college or a less demanding one.
If the man in the academy hat, feeling this way, didn't know where to put him, he would really deserve to be ravaged by the alchemical giant's hand.
Hufflepuff!
Kayson turned back and raised an eyebrow at Snape, then headed toward Hufflepuff.
Finally, there's Snape. There's nothing we can do about it; Snape's name starts with S...
It's a bit strange and misleading.
That's not the point!
After Snape was placed under the hat, and after a long and agonizing minute, the hat finally called out Ravenclaw!
Snape stood up again and nodded to Kayson and Lily before heading towards the Ravenclaw table.
Dumbledore then stood up. "I've always hated people who give long speeches before sleeping or resting, so... eat!"
Kayson sat up straight and stretched his limbs; he had never been afraid of anyone in this regard.
Then, while he was warming up, he was shocked to see that everyone around him started with zero frames and immediately engaged in battle.
Holy crap, this isn't right, why does it feel so intense?
Could it be that Hufflepuff is actually not suitable for someone like him to live?
At least in terms of food.
After all, the other houses... although Gryffindor is the same, Ravenclaw and Slytherin eat quite elegantly.
Someone like me should go to that kind of college and act like a hooligan!
Going to Ravenclaw would allow you to keep Snape company, and during meals, you'd be the one completely outclassing him.
There was no need for things to turn out this badly now...
late at night...
Lying on his bed in the dormitory, Kayson felt like he was dying.
I'm hungry.
As he was thinking this, a piece of cooked steak appeared in his hand... It wasn't exactly bad, but it was the same old thing he'd been eating for years, every day for breakfast and sometimes for a late-night snack.
Eh...
"It's time to go out and find some food." Kayson sat up in bed, still in a daze.
"Are you going to the kitchen?" asked John Abott, his roommate.
"Do you want to come along?" Kayson asked.
"I mean, if you go, could you please bring me a sausage?"
"I want smoked pork, not a whole one, but half a one."
"Get me two oranges."
"So you're just ordering food here, and not a single person wants to go out with me?" Kayson asked, unconvinced.
"It's obvious, Kayson ... I've found a very comfortable position, and I'm afraid I won't be able to sleep if I change it."
"Then you'll have to get up to eat later, won't you?"
"This is a separate issue."
"I should have smashed you all to death with an anvil." Kayson sighed and left the dormitory alone.
As members of the Hufflepuff, they were taught many of Hogwarts' secrets by their seniors while at the Great Hall table.
This includes which way the dining hall doors at Hogwarts open.
This secret is unknown to most people, but it is common knowledge to the young wizards of Hufflepuff.
What? You don't know where the Hogwarts Kitchens is? You're going on an adventure in the middle of the night instead of going to the kitchen?
You dare call yourself Hufflepuff?
And so, amidst the farewells of the House-elf in the Hogwarts Kitchens and the approving gazes of the Hufflepuff seniors who had attended the banquets over the years, Kayson left the kitchen carrying a huge paper bag.
Then he saw a clean-cut and well-mannered young wizard.
"Are you here to forage too? If you don't mind, you can take these. The upperclassmen and House-elf were so enthusiastic, they gave me a lot." Kayson showed the person the heavy paper bag.
"Oh, no, I'm going on a...nighttime adventure," the well-mannered young wizard said.
Kayson's eyes narrowed subtly. That strange pause... that odd little wizard...
What does it have to do with me?
However, this little wizard is indeed quite strange, and it's worth getting to know him.
" Kayson Heath!" Kayson held the paper bag in one hand and reached out the other towards the little wizard.
" Remus Lupin." Lupin also reached out and shook hands with him.
After learning the name, Kayson was about to leave again when he heard a clear voice behind him. "Strolling around at night instead of sleeping? Which academy's little wizard is this?"
Kayson turned around, completely bewildered; he hadn't seen this person at the banquet.
"I am Alchemy Professor Thorne Heath, the Alchemy Professor. I was unable to attend the banquet today," Professor Heath explained, seeing Kayson's puzzled expression.
Lupin: "Spotted the moment it peeked out???"

The Yuzu Liang Bai, isn't that a coincidence? It's a special day, or maybe an extra chapter.
