Background / History
Cai Yonglong was the Transmigrator Chat Group's first member and one of its earliest surviving transmigrators. After arriving in the Violet Spirit Realm, he landed on Azure Abyss Island, where a benefactor accepted him as a disciple. His first master was only a Spirit Origin Realm cultivator, but Cai Yonglong credits him with saving his life and regards him as one of the people he respects most 129.
By the time Wang Ping joined the Chat Group, Cai Yonglong had finished seclusion, reached the Innate Realm's seventh level, and was preparing for an Inner Sect Competition. He publicly estimated his chance of taking first place at 99%, establishing his reputation as one of the group's strongest early members 3.
He later discovered that Wang Ping had transmigrated to the same Xianxia world: Cai Yonglong was in the Sword Domain of the Violet Spirit Realm, under the Heavenly Sword Holy Land's jurisdiction, while Wang Ping was in Great Xia Country. Cai Yonglong immediately proposed that they explore secret realms together once they could meet 30 64.
Cai Yonglong died after encountering the Dream Weird Entity. Wang Ping spent 200,000 Group Points to resurrect him; Cai Yonglong emerged from his grave confused and without clothing, then learned that Wang Ping had paid the cost. He pledged to obey Wang Ping's instructions, repay the debt, and risk everything if needed 121. Wang Ping subsequently introduced him to the Sword Spirit Sect's Supreme Elders, granting Cai Yonglong the position of Supreme Elder 121.
After his resurrection, Cai Yonglong increasingly acted as Wang Ping's cultivation partner and opportunity scout. Wang Ping later accompanied him to Black Light Valley, where an elderly successor of the Condemning Emperor's legacy recognized Cai Yonglong's potential, tested him, empowered him, and accepted him as a successor. The elder died a month later, becoming Cai Yonglong's second master 146.
Personality
Cai Yonglong is confident, expressive, and highly competitive. He enjoys showing off successful breakthroughs, trading insults with Fang Yun, and responding dramatically when challenged 3 28 30. His bravado is tempered by a practical awareness of the pressure imposed by Spirit Clan descendants and stronger sect disciples; he does not believe his Golden Finger makes him effortlessly invincible 28.
He is prone to envy when other group members reveal exceptional masters, opportunities, or Golden Fingers, frequently joking about being a “Lemon Monster.” Despite this jealousy, he can recognize others' strengths and openly admits when someone has earned their advantage 75 128.
Cai Yonglong is deeply loyal to those who aid him. His resurrection made him especially devoted to Wang Ping, and he consults Wang Ping before major decisions because he considers the debt of saving his life too great to repay casually 121 166. He also values tangible benefits and advancement over reputation, accepting that his fame was overshadowed by stronger contemporaries in simulated futures 142.
Abilities & Skills
Opportunity-Finding Golden Finger
Cai Yonglong's original Golden Finger allowed him to perceive others' “opportunity lines,” enabling him to trace potential fortuitous encounters and secret-realm treasures.
- He could judge an opportunity's apparent value by the thickness of its line, though he could not identify its exact level or contents 123.
- His ability helped Wang Ping intercept opportunities from disciples of major sects in simulated explorations of the Violet Moon Secret Realm 128.
- The Golden Finger did not guarantee safety, accessibility, or personal benefit; Cai Yonglong considered it unreliable because opportunities could be dangerous, impossible to seize, or unsuitable for him 130.
- He ultimately chose to replace it when it could no longer keep pace with Wang Ping's growth 166.
Absolute Defense
After replacing his original Golden Finger, Cai Yonglong obtained Absolute Defense, a defensive ability evaluated by Wang Ping as exceptionally powerful for its specialization 166.
- Its defensive effect is brief in duration.
- Even concentrated attacks could not destroy a spirit artifact while the defense was active 166.
- Wang Ping considered it potentially highly useful despite its short activation window 166.
Blade Arts and Blade Intent
Cai Yonglong is a blade wielder who independently comprehended Blade Intent.
- His Earthly Fiend Art reached the eighth layer by the Innate Realm's seventh level 3.
- He possesses Earth-grade martial arts and an Earth-grade cultivation method 63.
- At the Half-Step Spirit Origin Realm, his combat strength was judged comparable to Bai Tianhong during Bai's equivalent stage 63.
- He can briefly move through the air but lacked the mobility of a true Spirit Origin Realm expert at that stage 63.
Secret Technique
During the battle against the Weird Zombie, Cai Yonglong employed a secret technique to forcefully increase his power and evade a lethal tentacle attack.
- The technique allowed him to avoid immediate death.
- It came at a significant cost and was used only when ordinary evasion failed 63.
Demonic Art *(Simulated Future)*
Several Life Simulator outcomes explored Cai Yonglong cultivating a Demonic Art to compensate for slower conventional growth.
- It enabled rapid progress through killing and devouring stronger cultivators 128 129.
- It risked corrupting his mindset, making his eyes colder and his demonic energy difficult to suppress 129.
- Even in that future, he retained enough gratitude to return a high-grade Sword Dao Divine Power scroll to Wang Ping rather than attack him 129.
- Wang Ping regarded this path as dangerous and preferred that Cai Yonglong cultivate a Heaven-grade method normally 129 130.
Equipment / Items
- Blade — Cai Yonglong's primary weapon; he fights through blade techniques and Blade Intent 63.
- Low-grade spirit-artifact robe and shoes — Provided by Wang Ping immediately after Cai Yonglong's resurrection 121.
- High-grade Sword Dao Divine Power scroll — Obtained and given to Wang Ping in a simulated demonic-cultivation future 129.
Relationships
- Wang Ping — Fellow transmigrator from the Violet Spirit Realm, benefactor, mentor-like cultivation partner, and frequent companion in opportunity-seeking. Wang Ping resurrected Cai Yonglong, supplied him with resources, and later helped him reach Black Light Valley 64 121 146.
- Cai Yonglong's first master — His savior on Azure Abyss Island and the cultivator who accepted him as a disciple after his transmigration. Cai Yonglong continues to regard him with great respect 129.
- Black Light Valley elder — Cai Yonglong's second master and successor-predecessor. The elder empowered him, improved his foundation, passed on his legacy, and died a month later 146.
- Fang Yun — Chat Group companion and regular target of mutual teasing, mockery, and competitive banter 3 28 30.
- Ye Chen — Wang Ping's disciple and a fellow participant in opportunity-seeking and cultivation journeys. Cai Yonglong was impressed by Ye Chen's status as a Child of Destiny 130.
- Bing Ningyue / Ji Bingyue — Associate of Wang Ping's circle; Cai Yonglong jokingly told Wang Ping that she had fallen for him after their Dao discussion 139.
Story Role / Major Arcs

Black Light Valley Legacy
Wang Ping brought Cai Yonglong to Black Light Valley in search of an inheritance suited to him. A dying elder accepted Cai Yonglong as his successor, empowered him, and left his legacy before peacefully passing away 146.
