Regarding the Protagonist, Let Me Explain

Seeing that quite a few readers in the comments were confused, I decided to make a separate chapter to explain.

First of all, the Mythical Bloodlines hidden within the protagonist were his true cheat!

Relying on the Jade Phosphorous Serpent Emperor alone, there was no way he could take on those people from the God Realm. So of course the author had to give him some cheats; otherwise, it would be far too cruel to the protagonist.

Could the protagonist really be expected to wait tens of thousands of years for his beast avatar to become a god?

Some readers asked why I didn't let the Jade Phosphorous Serpent Emperor transform into a dragon.

First, snakes transforming into dragons wasn't anything new—far too many people had written that already. Besides, dragons in Douluo weren't all that impressive. At the very highest, they were only at the Dragon God's level. What kind of prestige could a guy who got killed by the gods of the God Realm possibly have?

There is something that needs to be clarified here: the Dragon God setting used in this novel was based on the first three Douluo installments, as well as the God Realm side stories.

The setting in the fourth installment was far too ridiculous, so this novel would not be using it.

In the settings of the first three Douluo installments and the God Realm side stories, the Dragon God was a God King who ascended from the lower realms! Because he was suppressed by the gods in the God Realm, he led a group of Beast Gods in rebellion, only to ultimately fail! The Asura God cleaved him in two, splitting him into the Silver Dragon King and the Golden Dragon King.

And it was precisely because of the Dragon God's rebellion that the God Realm established the rule that beasts could no longer become gods!

The first three Douluo installments basically revolved around this premise. The conflict between the beast race and the God Realm was actually a pretty good and reasonable setup. There was nothing wrong with Tang San suppressing Soul Beasts, after all—it was politically correct.

Then, in the fourth Douluo installment, the author directly overturned the previous setting and made the Dragon God the God of Creation! Even the God Realm became something he had created, giving the beast race an epic-level buff... The most absurd part was that the rule forbidding Soul Beasts from becoming gods was changed into a rule the Dragon God himself had set before his death.

Well then, all the blame fell onto the Soul Beasts themselves. Soul Beasts became people who brought it upon themselves, while those gods became pure and spotless, with no faults whatsoever. After all, it was the Dragon God who had decreed that Soul Beasts could not become gods, not them.

This setting was obviously meant to whitewash the God Realm, but it went far too overboard and was far too unreasonable.

Therefore, this novel would only use the settings from the first three installments and the God Realm side stories. The setting of the fourth installment would not be adopted.

Now, let's talk about the protagonist. Of the many Mythical Bloodlines within him, aside from the awakened Nine Infants, the rest could currently be regarded as mere decorations. That was because the author had set awakening conditions for them, and those conditions were extremely harsh!

The main reason for this was that after Douluo was finished, I might move on to the myriad worlds and write about other settings. At that point, the other Mythical Bloodlines would have a chance to shine.

Of course, it was also possible that I would stop writing once Douluo was finished; that would depend on how well it performed. In short, you could treat the other Mythical Bloodlines as nonexistent for now. The Nine Infants Bloodline alone was enough to let the protagonist run rampant throughout Douluo.
