Yoru Machi, who had flown out of the smoke, was clearly at death's door, and he looked utterly wretched... No, he looked downright horrific.
The lower half of his body had completely vanished. Even of his remaining upper body, the left side containing his heart had been entirely carbonized by the heat.
Seeing Yoru Machi in such a miserable state through the psychic projection, Psykos clenched her fists and was just about to step forward when the Monster Association executives beside her firmly grabbed hold of her.
"Lady Psykos, please don't act rashly! It's a pity that the White Reaper, such an important combat asset and undercover agent, has died, but he was still a human monster you created. You can always make another one if he's gone. But if you die, then we'll have nothing left!"
After all the previous setbacks, the monsters of the Monster Association had clearly come to regard Psykos as their pillar.
