Seated before the Alliance's Manager, Sberg looked uneasy. Though he had prepared himself mentally, he was still nervous.
He had just trekked through a long stretch of snow. His boots looked as though they had been soaked in water, and they had dirtied the floor.
Watching Sberg constantly shift in his seat, Chu Guang could not help but laugh.
"Relax. Do I look that scary?"
"Not really... I'm worried about dirtying your sofa, sir," Sberg said softly, scratching his head. "I haven't washed these clothes in days, and I was wearing them back in prison."
Chu Guang offered a suggestion.
"There's a shower in the gym next door. You can clean up first."
"Thank you... That's a great suggestion, but perhaps later," Sberg said. He took a letter from his coat, placed it cautiously on the coffee table, and gently pushed it toward Chu Guang. "After Miss Alisa learned where I was headed, she asked me to deliver a letter to you."
Alisa?
Chu Guang had a favorable impression of that clever young girl. If he remembered correctly, she was Melvin's daughter, and they had met once at the celebration.
He picked up the envelope, opened it,
