Old White began as an industrial worker at the outpost. Alongside Fang Chang, he recovered iron slag from scrap metal and produced cement clinker; the physically demanding work advanced his Strength-type gene sequence. The pair later succeeded in smelting molten iron and planned to forge an iron wok. 27 43
