History

Dawn City was announced as the New Alliance's second survivor settlement after the Battle of Pine Forest Valley. A wooden sign bearing its name was hung from a half-collapsed bridge pier, while supplies that had been stockpiled in Qingshi County were immediately sent to the site following the Alliance's victory. The initial construction force included more than 300 NPC and player workers, along with 2,000 steel axes, 1,600 shovels, carts, and other tools. 341

The settlement's first phase prioritized emergency housing. Construction teams assembled 1,000 emergency houses in one day, surpassing their target, and began receiving the first residents with food and shelter provided by the Alliance. 341

As the city expanded, the Alliance planned medium-density five-story apartment blocks, single-family homes, streets, drainage, and a power grid. Its growth was supported by rail links, technical personnel, construction specialists, and a 200-million-chip loan negotiated with Boulder City. 360 368 374

Lukka formally became Dawn City's City Lord after representing the Alliance in negotiations with Boulder City. His appointment was intended to demonstrate that ability and loyalty—not social origin—could earn authority within the New Alliance; Lukka had formerly been a serf at Brown Farm. 352 373

• Alliance Square — A central square dominated by an unfinished sword-shaped monument inscribed with the names of the fallen. It serves both as a memorial and as the site for victorious warriors' return ceremonies. 1111
