As Optimus Prime's words fell, all the Autobots, including Bumblebee, drove toward Hoover Dam, leaving only Chen Mu and Sam behind.

Sam had never actually fought alongside the Autobots, so they had never truly accepted him. Naturally, Bumblebee could not stay with Sam to protect him.
