Hearing Noah's explanation, Li Chen nodded in realization.

He vaguely remembered Noah mentioning this before.

The distances between Cosmic Civilizations were incredibly, incredibly vast.

The entire Orion Arm could roughly be divided into ten regions.

Each of these regions spanned tens of thousands of light-years.

Within each region were various smaller star territories.

But this "smallness" was only relative to the entire Milky Way Galaxy.

It was "small" relative to the entire universe.

For civilizations living within these star territories, their areas were already incredibly vast.

And judging by the current level of development of these Cosmic Civilizations,

their technology was still insufficient to allow them to cross distances that were too great.

For example, if Earth Civilization had not received support from Noah Civilization,

then even if they spent another ten thousand years, they might not be able to leave the Solar System.

And even though Noah Civilization had reached a Tier 3 Universe Civilization,

the spacecraft technology they currently possessed

only had enough endurance to allow them to communicate with and visit several other star territories.

They could not cross Orion Arm Tenth District

and directly reach the region right next to them,

Orion Arm Ninth District, roughly fifteen thousand light-years away.

Because the power sources of their spacecraft

did not permit such long-distance, long-duration flights.

Therefore, it was the same when looking back this way from Orion Arm Ninth District.

Although the technology possessed by Level 4 Universe Civilizations

could grant their spacecraft greater speed and endurance,

that often also meant they needed vastly greater amounts of energy during their journeys.

Crossing more than ten thousand light-years to reach the Sixth Star Territory

just to plunder the planetary resources here?

Once the calculations were laid out so carefully,

they probably would not even earn back their costs.
