History

Li Chen first developed Mental Power by investing Evolution Energy into his Spirit attribute. Its earliest use was crude: he could invade a zombie brain, issue commands only briefly, and sense the Resident Combat Team on another floor. These attempts quickly produced headaches and exhaustion. As his attributes improved, his Mental Power developed from a single probing sense into multiple independent streams capable of surveillance and covert attacks. 37 65

Before Psychic Wave was formally activated, Li Chen had already demonstrated mind-reading during the Hua Ju Laboratory interrogation. His resistance to Luo Fanghua's illusion-based control also convinced him that strengthening his mental attributes was essential to avoid being controlled by hostile psychic users. 119 322 329

Psychic Wave became fully available at Level 6 Gene Evolution, once Li Chen's physique and mental strength reached 220. After a costly upgrade of his Mental Power attribute to 300, he could effortlessly manipulate multiple objects at once and no longer suffered meaningful depletion from minor telekinetic use. 330 355 356

Subsequent Psychic Wave upgrades greatly expanded Li Chen's range, efficiency, and destructive capacity. He used Mental Power to control zombie commanders, observe through wandering zombies, destroy enemy equipment across a battlefield, create shields, and attack protected Shelters. Distinction from the Small Universe

Mental Power gained through Gene Evolution resembles the Small Universe's Sixth Sense but is not the same power system. Both can produce effects such as mind control, illusions, flight-like movement, and passing through obstacles. 758

Unlike Sixth Sense, Mental Power does not inherently grant future prediction or elemental control. Li Chen could not predict the future or manipulate elements through Gene Evolution Mental Power alone, while Sixth Sense could eventually provide both. 758
