When Qin Yi arrived beneath the Bodhi Tree, he did not get to work immediately. Instead, he first lowered his head and examined the tree's shadow.
Back when he, Meng Qingying, and Minghe had spent years tossing about in the Veil of Time Illusion Space, they had naturally exchanged all sorts of information. Qin Yi had long known that this tree shadow led straight to the Demon Abyss of the North Sea.
A tree shadow was the tree's projection, just as the River of Forgetfulness was the projection of the mortal realm, and evil thoughts were the projection of the true body. Entwined together, they formed a unique point of convergence.

As for the still-present effect of stripping and purification, Bei Yuan should have a way to stop it... The Fu Sang Tree itself absolutely did not possess such a passive aura. This had originally been the result of Bei Yuan imposing some sort of law upon it.
He simply did not know whether the reason it had not stopped even now was truly what Bei Yuan had said—that "three days weren't enough"—or whether he simply did not wish to stop it in his heart.
Either way, Qin
