Alvin stopped what he was doing.
Spread out before him was a diagram of rules he had yet to roll up, mapping the paths of several fissures around the Mechanical Divine Domain. He had set down his pen halfway through.
The diagram was preparation for dealing with those fissures on the Divine Domain's outskirts. Lately, they had kept growing, almost beyond his ability to repair them.
He first glanced at the people beside him.
Wen Ke'er was keeping watch beside Lilith, converting those impure Rule Fragments for her bit by bit.
Byron had brought her here.
Not far away, Lilith looked battered and bedraggled.
She had rushed off too hastily this time. When she landed in that Shattered Universe, she had stumbled straight into a melee. She had barely managed to protect anyone before suffering injuries all over herself. Now, she was absorbing the scattered Rule Fragments around her bit by bit, slowly recovering.
She drew the Rule Fragments scattered throughout the Divine Domain into thin threads that slowly gathered around her. As they approached, they dissolved and seeped into the torn wounds on her body.
Wen Ke'er, meanwhile, was converting them very slowly.
She had to pass each fragment through her hands first, filtering out the impurities inside before she dared hand it over to Lilith. Before passing it along, she would also smooth out that little piece of rules so it would not surge wildly and hurt anyone.
Alvin watched for a moment without speaking.
Then he extended his senses again.
The strange aura from earlier had come from somewhere not far from the Mechanical Divine Domain, nor was it in the direction of the Holy Land.
He knew Shen Yi had returned from the Immortal Sacred Land.
But right now, he truly had little attention to spare
