Background

Wen Ke'er was originally a Wood Elf from a resource-rich world with many races. Her people worshipped Enrothis, whom she calls the ancient Mother of Creation. During the invasion associated with the Outer Realm Evil Gods and Black Fog, countless rifts appeared across her homeworld; elves were mutated, their personalities became aggressive, and even sacred elven sites were corrupted. Wen Ke'er was injured amid conflicts she attributes in part to succubi instigating wars, then crossed into Shen Yi's plane through an Enrothis relic. 601 604 803

The Black Fog altered both her power and personality. She retained a pure elven aspect while developing a seductive, corrupted persona capable of subtly influencing minds. In her damaged soul state, she entered a contract with Sti, who used her power against threats and supplied sacrifices that aided Wen Ke'er's recovery. Wen Ke'er gradually manipulated Sti into greater dependence, intending to exploit the arrangement to regain strength and eventually reconstruct a body. 601 603

After capturing Murong Xue to lure Shen Yi, Wen Ke'er turned against Sti and asked Shen Yi to free her. Shen Yi instead arranged a self-contract: Wen Ke'er could not use her abilities without his permission, had to obey his commands, and would be released when her physical body recovered. She accepted the oath in Enrothis's name, making violation fatal. 600 603

Shen Yi later supported her recovery with Ability Fruits and eventually the Seven-Petaled Polo Sha. The resulting reconstruction restored her original form and significantly strengthened her, but it did not permanently remove every trace of the Black Fog. Beneath this behavior, she is proud of her elven heritage and deeply sensitive about her corruption and the destruction of her original world. Mentions of the Black Fog, dead elves, or her homeland can unsettle her far more than she initially admits.
