"I have that feeling too."
A hand gently came to rest on her own chest.
Blood leaped through her veins, the soft pulsing sensation like the tide of moonlight at the edge of the sky, swelling and ebbing by turns.
And yet Wen Ke'er felt no emotional change at all. To her, that spontaneous physiological rhythm was as natural as if Enrosis, the god she believed in, had never left.
"Wait. Have you always had that feeling, or did it appear suddenly?"
Winnie's brows suddenly shot up as she looked at Wen Ke'er in confusion.
If this feeling was only something she had suddenly remembered, a passing thought, then that was fine. But if it came from some connection of bloodline or power, then it was no small matter!
"This..."
"I can't really say either."
Wen Ke'er frowned, also sensing that something was wrong.
"What are you two doing?"
In midair, Shen Yi's figure slowly descended through the void. He had just finished sending Long Aoshuang back, only to return and see this scene.
Winnie had one hand placed on Wen Ke'er's chest, her two pupils shining in the shadows like the morning sun.
"Something about her condition isn't right, but I can't detect any connection between the aura on her body and the outside world. Will you take a look?"
Winnie frowned.
After her power entered Wen Ke'er's body, it would not take long before it vanished like a stone sinking into the sea. That silent, soundless sensation of being accepted actually gave Winnie an inexplicable feeling of being swallowed by darkness. But wasn't the power in Wen Ke'er's body supposed to feel like the Elf's mental power and something similar to Psionic Energy?
"Her condition has always been special. Didn't you know that before?" Shen Yi glanced sideways.
