Composition and Hierarchy
- The Demon Clan is composed of numerous races with widely different intelligence, bloodlines, and combat potential. Dual Saber Demons are considered a weak, mindless cannon-fodder race, though survivors can evolve into lord-class variants and generals 86 181.
- Their strongest bloodlines include the Heaven-Defying Demon Dragon Clan, Moon Demon Clan, and Star Demon Clan. Each has the potential to surpass the Ninth Rank, and their greatest historical era featured three Demon Gods with one million spiritual energy 66.
- Heaven-Defying Demon Dragons possess exceptional innate cultivation: ordinary members are born at the Seventh Rank and reach the Eighth Rank as adults, while the imperial bloodline has far greater long-term potential 296.
- Demon God heirs who evolve their Magic Crystals into Crowns of Inheritance require at least Eighth-Order Level 5 cultivation and may draw upon the corresponding Demon God Pillar 319.
- Demon Clan status is strongly tied to bloodline; royal clans and descendants of Demon Gods hold privileged positions despite having longer growth periods 296 456.

| Commanding Demons | Battlefield coordinators whose command posts direct low-ranking demon forces across sections of the front 180. |
| Ordinary Demon Forces | Large masses of lower-ranked demons used in invasions and attritional warfare; many lack independent tactical coordination 180 184. |
Power and Traits
- Magic Crystals — A demon's Magic Crystal contains its Bloodline Power and spiritual power and serves as a core source of strength 398.
- Bloodline superiority — Demon bloodlines make Seventh-Rank cultivation easier than it is for humans, though Ninth-Order demons remain difficult to produce 445.
- Demon God Transformation — High-ranking Demon Gods can merge with their Demon God Pillars to dramatically increase their cultivation and strengthen their domains 471.
- Heavenly Demon Dismantling — A desperate power-amplification technique used alongside Demon God Transformation; it can force a user's cultivation beyond its normal limit 475.
- Weakness to supreme light — Absolute light inflicts severe suppression and pain on demons, while Ye Ling's Golden Dragon King bloodline can reduce nearby demons' combat strength by at least thirty percent 300 463.
- Bloodline suppression — The Gold-Silver Dragon Kings' power can overwhelm even the Heaven-Defying Demon Dragon bloodline and prevent Demon God Pillars from being activated 474 475.
Military Organization
| Formation | Composition and purpose |
|---|---|
| Demon Clan command posts | Use Commanding Demons to direct lower-ranked troops that would otherwise fight in disorganized fashion 180. |
| Demon Extermination teams | Ten-member elite units created to counter human Demon Hunting Groups; each captain is at least Eighth Rank and every member is above Seventh Rank 445. |
| Demon God Groups | The strongest Demon Extermination formations, composed of a Demon God-level captain and nine Ninth-Order demons 445. |
| Mass armies | Rely on overwhelming numbers and physical strength rather than equipment; even their highest-level battlefield troops may be Seventh Tier or above 341. |
History
Ancient conflict
The Seventy-Two Demon God Pillars descended upon the Holy Demon Continent roughly six thousand years before the present events. The Demon Clan attacked the Dragon Race before humanity, nearly exterminating it and forcing the survivors to take refuge within Knight Holy Mountain 264.
The Demon Clan subsequently entered periods of overwhelming dominance. During its greatest era, the emergence of three Demon Gods with one million spiritual energy left humanity unable to mount open resistance 66.
Early invasions
The Clan prepared an invasion of Odin Town, prompting Ye Ling to warn Long Xingyu and organize defenses before the Holy Alliance had reacted 51 52.
During the fighting around Demon Exorcism Pass, Demon Clan forces relied on command posts to coordinate their low-ranking troops. After Ye Ling killed the Commanding Demon, the remaining forces lost cohesion and attempted to flee, allowing the human side to pursue and destroy them 180 184.
Demon Exorcism Pass invasion
An Luoxian used a crystal containing Moon Demon God Agares' power to open spatial passages into Demon Exorcism Pass. The sudden assault caught the defenders off guard and marked the first known instance of the Demon Clan entering one of humanity's six border fortresses without first breaking it 226 227.
Although Agares' power enabled the invasion, he was described as a supporter of peaceful coexistence between humans and demons; the passages were activated through a trump card he had provided rather than by his direct command 227.
Escalation and Demon Extermination
As human Demon Hunting Groups grew more dangerous, the Demon Clan established Demon Extermination teams specifically to hunt them down 445. The Clan also deployed Demon God heirs in Dream Paradise, but the operation ended disastrously when the heirs failed to return 393.
The Demon Clan later launched major offensives at South Suppressing Pass and Imperial Dragon Pass, fielding Demon Gods, Demon Dragon Guards, and massed elite troops 341 493.
Holy War and defeat
After Ye Ling broke through to the Ninth Rank, Feng Xiu personally attacked Imperial Dragon Pass in a renewed holy war. Ye Ling wounded him with divine skills and obtained a large quantity of the Heaven-Defying Demon Dragon Emperor's blood, enabling humanity to strengthen its peak experts and counterattack 501 508 509.
The Holy Alliance later unified, revived the Dragon Race, and invaded Demon Clan territory under Ye Ling's command. Its forces surrounded Demon Capital Heart City and defeated the Demon Clan's defenders 515.
In the final battle, the Demon Clan was exterminated except for the Sun, Moon, and Star Demon Clans, whose members were spared for future use 516.
Relations
- Human Race / Holy Alliance — Long-standing enemies in a six-thousand-year conflict over the Holy Demon Continent 264 515.
- Dragon Race — The Clan nearly exterminated the Dragon Race during its original descent upon the continent, creating an enduring blood debt 264 513.
- Moon Demon Clan — A major constituent clan led by Agares; Yue Ye, Agares' daughter, aided human Demon Hunting Groups through the Yueye Merchant Association 290 445.
- Sun, Moon, and Star Demon Clans — The only named Demon Clan branches spared after the final extermination 516.
