Background / History

Long Haochen trained as a knight at the Haoyue Branch Temple, where Ye Ling became his senior, instructor, and most important benchmark. He learned quickly from Ye Ling's corrections, immediately refining his sword swings after being told that he was overexerting his arm. 3

His early actions establish both his filial nature and courage. He went out at night to gather herbs for his mother, Bai Yue, but was surrounded by more than a hundred Wolf Demons; Ye Ling intervened and saved him. 4 He also trained relentlessly to qualify for forging instruction, meeting Ye Ling's requirement of wielding a 200-jin hammer. 33

Under Ye Ling's tutelage, Long Haochen completed Hundred-Forging Purification at 80% purity on his first attempt, qualifying as an entry-level First Grade Forging Master. Long Xingyu subsequently arranged for him to continue growing through the Haoyue Branch Temple. 34

He awakened as the Son of Light and selected both knight paths: Guardian for protection and Retribution for offensive strength. The awakening also drew attention from demon forces, prompting preparations for an invasion of Odin Town. 52
