The castle's underground level was dim. The flames floating along both sides of the corridor flickered unsteadily, making the entire passage seem murky and indistinct.
As Small Soldier walked forward step by step, Liliath took in the underground floor's surroundings.
After Small Soldier walked for roughly two or three minutes, the end of the passage finally opened into a spacious hall.
The hall was brilliantly lit. An exceptionally burly man sat bare-chested, gripping a chunk of raw meat from some unknown animal in both hands and tearing into it with all his might.
Small Soldier's body instinctively began to tremble. Clearly, he was intensely afraid of the burly man, and that fear remained impossible to suppress even under Liliath's hypnosis.
"Kid, you didn't put this wine in your Storage Space, did you?" Upon noticing Small Soldier's arrival, the burly man raised his head to look at him. His eyes looked nothing like human eyes; they resembled those of a bloodthirsty beast.
"N-No... The captain ordered us not to..." Small Soldier's legs shook as he held the wine jar tightly in his arms, not daring to set it down.
"Good. It seems your captain takes rather good care of you. What I hate most in my life is having my things put into someone else's Storage Space. If I find out you put my wine in your Storage Space just now, I'll kill you!" The burly man looked at Small Soldier threateningly.
With a wave of his hand, the wine jar in Small Soldier's arms shot into the air and landed in his hand. He lowered his head and glanced at it, finding nothing unusual. Without even looking at Small Soldier again, he shouted, "Get lost!"
At the stairway entrance, Liliath frowned. Small Soldier had barely observed his surroundings after entering.
