"A samurai never surrenders!"
That was what Hyogoro said.
Even when backed into a corner, he still refused to compromise. His courage and bearing made Ian want to applaud him.
"In that case,"
Ian slowly walked up to Hyogoro and raised his hand. Though his stamina had been greatly depleted, it did not stop him from gathering a ball of flame in his palm and aiming it at Hyogoro.
He looked around at the samurai. "Then you get to decide—will you lay down your weapons, or watch your boss die?"
"You have no chance of winning anymore. If you surrender now, you might still be able to save your lives."
"Huh?"
Before the samurai could react, Yamato cried out first, "Ian! That's so despicable!"
What did she know?
Ian sneered.
Threatening good guys with bad guys was a pirate tradition. He had to give it a try.
Then he suddenly realized something. Damn it, he really had become the bad guy.
His feelings instantly became complicated.
"Stop! Stop right now!"
It had to be said that Ian's strategy was effective.
The samurai immediately cried out in panic, "Don't hurt Boss Hyogoro!"
"Then show me with your actions!"
Ian kicked Hyogoro, who could no longer even stand, to the ground. The fireball in his hand was aimed at Hyogoro's head. "What will you choose?"
"GRAOO!!"
Fuga let out a timely roar, slamming his enormous spiked club viciously into the ground. The entire courtyard shook.
The samurai all went pale.
They looked toward Boss Hyogoro, lying on the ground and still struggling to turn his head.
But it was already over, wasn't it?
At the very least, they had to let Boss Hyogoro live.
Then, amid a chorus of clattering metal, the samurai dropped their weapons one after another.
The battle was over.
Hyogoro had essentially lost the strength to resist. Teacher Kai and Charlotte Linlin might have been able to withstand Ian's blazing flames with their bodies, but Hyogoro was far from capable of that.
Not to mention that the flames were mixed with a mysterious power of destruction.
Even Teacher Kai would be burned if he did not use Haki.
The instant Hyogoro failed to evade Ian's Divine Wrath Flame, the outcome had already been decided.
After Hyogoro's defeat, the ronin under him lost their backbone. Faced with Ian's threat, the samurai could only surrender in the end.
"I hope you keep your promise!"
The ronin stared fixedly at Ian. "Don't kill Boss Hyogoro!"
Ian sighed softly.
How should he put it?
Had they not considered the possibility that he might go back on his word after they laid down their weapons?
The righteous characters in this world truly left him at a loss for words.
Oden was like that, Bear was like that, and these samurai were like that too.
Still, they were lucky. Lord Ian kept his word.
Fukurokuju had already sent the ninja forward to bind the samurai one by one.
The large bald man could not help but breathe a sigh of relief as well. It had ended much faster—and much more easily—than he had imagined.
He looked at Ian, who had returned to normal.
What kind of monster was this boy?
In fact, it was not just him. The ronin were equally shocked by Ian's youth.
He was still just a child!!
Everything was finally settled.
"These guys don't seem like bad people."
Yamato walked over to Ian's side and studied the gloomy-faced samurai.
They had been willing to give up resisting in order to protect their leader. Yamato did not dislike that kind of value system.
"Is it possible..."
Ian sat on a stone in the courtyard, recovering his strength. Although the battle had not lasted long, entering his Divine Phoenix state and using Divine Wrath Flame had still drained him considerably.
"That we're the bad guys?"
"Hahaha, we're the bad guys?"
Yamato laughed heartily and slapped Ian on the shoulder. "Ian, you really know how to joke! We're pirates!"
Pirates could not simply be defined as good people or bad people. They were a group of people who only wanted to do what they wanted.
That was the belief Teacher Kai had always instilled in them.
Ian neither agreed nor disagreed.
"Thank you both for your help!"
Kurozumi Senmaru, who had been sent to protect Ian and Yamato but had been completely useless, approached them shakily and respectfully said, "Your strength has truly opened my eyes!"
"Please return to the keep with me now. General Orochi will prepare a lavish banquet to welcome you both."
Ian looked at Yamato.
"That guy is really annoying, but..."
Yamato rubbed her stomach and pursed her lips. "I'm hungry."
"Then lead the way."
Ian stood up.
Kurozumi Orochi was an annoying guy, but food was not.
"Yes!"
Kurozumi Senmaru breathed a sigh of relief.
Later, he would definitely have to persuade Orochi properly.
These two children were Kaido's daughter and disciple, the future leaders of the Beasts Pirates. As long as this country still needed the Beasts Pirates' protection, they absolutely could not have any conflict with them.
Thus, the ninjas escorted the captured samurai out of the ruined courtyard and headed back toward the keep.
Along the way, the citizens of the Flower Capital were all shocked when they saw the captured samurai.
"Those are Hyogoro's ronin, aren't they?"
"General Orochi has moved against Boss Hyogoro? What exactly happened?"
Hyogoro held great prestige in the Flower Capital, and the people could not understand what was going on.
Of course, no one was going to answer that question for them now.
The group soon arrived outside the keep once more.
"Guhahahaha!"
Kurozumi Orochi eagerly rushed out through the gates the next second. He glanced at Fuga, who stood there like a small mountain, then looked up at Ian and Yamato atop Fuga's head.
"Well done, you two brats! You actually captured Hyogoro!"
Yamato immediately frowned and looked at Ian. "Ian, that guy really is too annoying! Can I beat him up?"
Ian shrugged.
Orochi really had no idea of his own situation.
Completely ignoring Yamato's reaction, Orochi strode over to the captured samurai, stopping before Hyogoro, who was being carried on a door panel.
"Guhahahaha! Hyogoro! So even an idiot like you has a day like this!"
Orochi mercilessly kicked over the door panel, sending the already incapacitated Hyogoro rolling helplessly onto the ground. He could only glare fiercely at him.
"You still dare glare at me!"
Hyogoro's gaze irritated Orochi. He stepped forward and stomped directly on Hyogoro's face. "You dared reject this general's invitations time and again! Now you know the consequences!"
Orochi laughed smugly, repeatedly lifting his foot and stomping down.
"Stop! Orochi, you bastard!!"
The captured samurai were instantly beside themselves with rage. "Are you going to break your promise?"
But their fury not only failed to stop Orochi—it made him even more pleased with himself.
Everyone in this country that had caused the Kurozumi Clan such suffering deserved to die!!
Orochi's face twisted as he laughed.
Third Class Descent: Pulling into Naraka!!
A black shadow suddenly descended from above.
"Huh?"
Orochi looked up blankly, only for an ice-covered kanabo to smash down onto his forehead.
"Waaah!"
Orochi only had time to let out a scream before his head was smashed straight into the ground.
"I can't take this anymore!"
Yamato transformed into her wolf form again, planted a foot on Orochi's back, and raised her spiked club high once more. "That disgusting bastard deserves to be beaten flat!"
Ian had promised the samurai that he would not hurt this guy again!
Was this bastard trying to make Ian break his promise?
"Lord Orochi!"
Fukurokuju, Kurozumi Senmaru, and Kurozumi Semimaru's expressions changed drastically at once, and they instinctively moved to rescue him.
But at that moment, the enormous spiked club crashed down through the air, instantly shattering the ground and forcing the three of them to retreat.
Standing atop the head of the giant wielding the club, Ian said calmly, "Take one more step, and you'll be making enemies of the Beasts Pirates."
"GRAAAH!!"
The giant brandished his iron club threateningly.
Orochi's subordinates fell silent at once.
Make enemies of the Beasts Pirates?
No one dared to move.
They could only watch as Yamato's iron club smashed into Orochi's body again.
Don't blame us, Lord Orochi.
Kurozumi Semimaru sighed helplessly to herself.
Your ability can withstand it anyway.
