Facing Teacher Kai

Not long after lunch, Ian had just woken up from a nap. As he was preparing to train, Teacher Kai's roar echoed from above.

It was like a thunderclap, clearly audible throughout the entire Onigashima.

"Ian, Dad's calling us!"

The sound of heavy footsteps rapidly approached, and the room's door was pulled open directly. Yamato's cute little face peeked in, and she was dragging a long mace.

"Yeah."

Ian's expression was melancholic. "Let's go."

Every time Teacher Kai called him from the top of the skull, it was for only one reason.

Together with Yamato, they ascended to the rooftop terrace of the main building. Brilliant golden light erupted, and Ian instantly transformed into a giant Golden Flying Dragon.

"Ian!"

Yamato gazed ardently at Ian as he slowly ascended, flapping his wings. "So cool!"

Then, Ian spread his wings and took flight, soaring out from the terrace, flying out of the skull's eyes, then turning back and heading towards the top of the skull.

Ian's flying speed was quite fast. In less than half a minute, he had reached the summit of Onigashima, flying all the way to the central area of the skull's peak.

Teacher Kai was currently sitting cross-legged on the ground, drinking and waiting for Ian and Yamato's arrival.

He looked up at Ian slowly descending with flapping wings, pouring more sake into his mouth, and then shakily stood up. "Ugh-huh-huh-huh! Brats, are you ready to start?"

Could we not start? Ian thought to himself.

"Yeah!"

Yamato jumped down from Ian's hand, confidently hefting her mace. "I've gotten even stronger!"

"Then come on, brats! Just like before, attack me as much as you want before I finish my sake."

Kaido beckoned to the two of them. "With the resolve to kill me!"

"Kill you? How could I possibly do something like that," Ian said.

Then, he opened his mouth.

"Divine Flame Cannon!!"

Scorching flames transformed into a destructive breath.

This was the Winged Dragon's Roar—no, Divine Flame Cannon!

The pillar of fire instantly engulfed Teacher Kai.

BOOM!

On the Skull's Peak, a massive explosion occurred, and brilliant flames splashed dozens of meters high. The scorching temperature caused the air in the dome to directly distort.

"Brat! Are you trying to evaporate all my sake?"

Teacher Kai's angry roar came from within the raging flames.

His roar transformed into a gale, scattering the flames.

He himself made no defensive move, only covering his gourd with Haki.

"I'm going!"

Yamato charged out like a gust of wind. Dragging her mace behind her, she leaped up, her imposing aura radiating as she swung the mace with both hands. "Thunder Bagua!!"

Inherited from her father, the mace, covered with numerous sharp iron spikes, heavily slammed into Teacher Kai's face.

However, Teacher Kai didn't even move. Instead, Yamato was directly sent flying back.

"Are you tickling me, Yamato?" Teacher Kai sneered while drinking. "You dare to say you'll surpass me with just this?"

"You're underestimating me too much! Dad!" Yamato shouted indignantly. "I'm going to beat you up!"

"If you can do it, then come at me!" Kaido said dismissively.

Yamato continued her charge.

It had to be said, Yamato was on a completely different level of strength compared to an ordinary five-year-old child.

Her speed, strength, agility, and even her techniques were far beyond adult levels. In fact, many low-ranking members of the Beasts Pirates wouldn't be her match.

But unfortunately, the one standing before her now was Teacher Kai, and none of her attacks could even make him budge.

It was less like a fight and more like a child throwing a tantrum at their father.

Teacher Kai looked up at Ian, who was floating in the sky. "What are you waiting for, kid?"

Ian took a deep breath.

The giant Golden Flying Dragon landed on the ground, its form rapidly shrinking.

In the blink of an eye, Ian had transformed into a human form, shining with golden light.

Just like his beast form, he was covered in golden light, as if cast from pure gold, giving him a strong metallic feel, like he was clad in golden armor.

He appeared slender overall, with hind legs that bent backward and feet shaped like claws, sharp and long, like blades.

His arms weren't particularly thick, but his claws were equally sharp. There were wing-like decorations at his elbows, and his shoulders even had raised pauldrons.

Behind his head, a golden ring connected his left and right shoulders, much like Enel's thunder drums, inscribed with strange patterns. Below the ring, golden wings unfurled from his back, so wide they seemed capable of blocking out the sky.

Notably, similar to Yamato's future Okuchi no Makami Beastman form, Ian's face wasn't a mask-like structure like Kaido's. Instead, it was a perfect fusion of a human face and the face of the Winged Dragon.

His nose and mouth protruded, his entire body was golden, only his eyes were crimson, with markings extending backward from his eyelids. A blue gem was embedded in his forehead. Overall, he was magnificent and solemn.

Ian clenched his fist.

The power surging within his body at this moment felt capable of shaking the heavens and the earth!

The Golden Flying Dragon form, aside from its ability to control flames, had no special abilities. It simply enhanced his basic capabilities.

The amplification far surpassed that of ordinary Mythical Zoans.

The reason Teacher Kai was called Teacher Kai was because the current lesson was a practical combat lesson.

The timing was not fixed. Whenever Teacher Kai felt like it, he would summon Ian and Yamato to Skull Dome to give them a harsh lesson. It usually happened at least once a week, and sometimes two or three times a week.

But this lesson was not easy; it wasn't just about using Teacher Kai as a punching bag.

Immense power and scorching flames erupted simultaneously on Kaido's stomach. In the violent explosion, even Teacher Kai stumbled back a couple of steps.

Ian pressed his advantage, flames spewing from his feet, back, and elbows, all his important joints.

This was a simple technique of using the recoil from the flame jets to enhance his speed and power.

With the flames' augmentation, his already considerable speed became as fast as lightning. In the blink of an eye, he was close to Kaido, unleashing a flurry of punches and kicks at his chest.

His leg, wreathed in flames, delivered a powerful kick to Teacher Kai's chest. Winged Dragon's Claw!

Flames erupted from his feet, and his head, like a rocket, slammed into Teacher Kai's stomach. Winged Dragon's Sword Horn!

His wings behind him wrapped in flames, and with a body rotation, he delivered a blade-like slash to Teacher Kai's neck. Winged Dragon's Wing Strike!

His right arm bent, flames spewing from behind him, a rapid elbow strike landed on Teacher Kai's face. Taught by the great one, Winged Dragon's Elbow Strike!

He bounced back and leaped into the air. With his arms raised high, golden flames condensed in his palms before suddenly expanding into a fireball several times larger than himself.

Gaia Energy—no, it was Winged Dragon's Blazing Flame!

The giant fireball crashed down towards Teacher Kai, and a tremendous explosion erupted once again at the top of Onigashima.

"Whoa!"

An astonishing blast wave hit them. Yamato's hair whipped around, and she herself was forced to retreat repeatedly. "Ian! You're super strong!"

"Hoo—"

Ian also slowly exhaled.

"You damn brat!"

From within the flames, his clothes somewhat tattered, his hair and breathing slightly scorched, Teacher Kai stepped out. "The temperature of the flames is much higher than before. The alcohol is all evaporated!"
