"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies."
So, here was the question.
After the prophecy was made by the divination professor, Trelawney, how had it spread and reached Voldemort's ears?
Glancing at Voldemort with an expression that was not quite a smile, Snape fell silent for a few seconds, then said, "Voldemort, you don't need to play these boring tricks anymore."
"Oh?" Voldemort noticed that whether it was Harry Potter or Snape, neither showed any emotional fluctuations upon hearing his provocation.
Snape continued expressionlessly, "I have told Harry everything. The crimes I committed will naturally be reckoned with when the judgment arrives."
Snape knew he had done many wrong things in his life. In the past, he hadn't cared about any of it; Lily was already gone anyway, and he was merely a sinking man watching the lingering phantom she had left behind in this world.
Much like someone with no parents, family, friends, or wife and children, he didn't care about many things.
