Unique Mutation
[Ability Pod Activated]
[Aoneng extracted from the target]: [Proliferation Aberration] [Rating]: Epsilon (ε, the fifth Greek letter) (This Aoneng has excellent compatibility with your body and has been automatically optimized) [Active Effect]: At the cost of 4 months of lifespan, it causes cells to divide wildly and heal to the extreme, immediately restoring 40% of maximum health. After use, it takes 50 minutes for the cells to recover their activity before it can be used again.
[Passive Effect]: When your health increases, the effects of severed limbs and cripples will be quickly healed.
Note: When your Charm attribute is above 40, you will not experience the Negative Effect of disordered cell proliferation.
[Current Development Level]: Perception Level. At this development level, the Aura Value consumption rate is -110%. [Your Ability Pod is full of Aoneng.]
[You can choose to release an Aura Gene, or contain it within your body's Gene Sequence, which can significantly increase the probability of a rare option appearing in the next mutation.]
The Aoneng contained within the pod will not burden the genes, but it only benefits from active activation, and its development will be more difficult.
You can promote the evolution of an Aoneng by repeatedly containing it. Alternatively, you can choose to crush the Gene Sequence of this Aoneng and feed it to other Aoneng.
Li Aoz chose to crush [Ionization Shock], as this beta-rated Aoneng had virtually no potential to be developed.
You tore apart a weak sequence with the will of dominion.
[You have obtained a small amount of Genetic Potential Fragment, which can be used as nourishment for other Aoneng. Please select the Aoneng to feed it to:]
Core Aura – [Gravity] Omega Rating (Ω, the 24th and final Greek letter)
Subordinate Aoneng - [Sever Life] Sigma-class (∑, the eighteenth Greek letter)
Subordinate Aoneng - [Soul-Inscribed Sword Saint — Wargod] Cauchy-class (Ξ, the thirteenth Greek letter)
Controlling Aoneng:
—— [Directional Demolition]
—— [Iterative Movement]
—— [The Polar Day Radiance]
— [Proliferation Aberration]
Without much hesitation, Li Aoz immediately fed the gene fragments to Nomi's [Proliferation Aberration].
[Proliferation Aberration] Evolution Level: 74% "You'll be leveling up soon, Nomi."
A familiar and warm feeling washed over him, Li Aoz nodded slightly, a faint purple glint appearing in his eyes before fading away.
He grinned and looked at the transparent glass next to him, vaguely feeling that his teeth seemed to have become a little sharper.
As the extraction of the Aoneng was completed, Jane Nelia trembled and took two steps back. She looked up and her complexion seemed to have improved, and she appeared much more relaxed.
"I don't feel any pain or aftereffects at all..."
Jane raised her hands in surprise, looking at her skin, which actually looked healthier. She could clearly feel that her breathing was easier and she felt relieved.
To Li Aoz, her incredulous expression seemed as comical as an indigenous person seeing a space shuttle for the first time.
"Of course."
Li Aoz retracted his tentacles and said:
"Because your Aoneng was never originally yours."
Is it because it's from ' Nomi '?
"No, that's not the reason. Including Qiu Ran, your Aoneng are not something you were born with."
Qiu Ran, who had been silently grieving beside them, immediately looked up with a puzzled expression when mentioned.
"My abilities are not mine..."
"Moreover, those Esha Armed do not truly possess their own Aoneng. You were simply implanted with Aoneng sequences that happened to match your body organs, and you just happened not to die from genetic collapse."
Li Aoz tapped his temples; the time was almost right. It was time to explain the truth about the Netherworld to Qiu Ran.
He was not very clear about the crimes of the Underworld in his previous life, but it is true that Nethermark Professor did follow a path that was partly correct.
Qiu Ran's anger and sadness at being deceived made Li Aoz decide to tell this naive girl the truth, so that she wouldn't remain confused forever.
"It's not surprising that the professor can't distinguish between Aoneng and the energy of superhumans. Ancient people even thought the sun revolved around the Azure Planet. Limited technology prevents us from immediately seeing the real world. She brought in the Malefic Calamity, created a weapon, and then thought it was useful."
Li Aoz said, "The professor of the Underworld doesn't understand what this means. She always believed that the Esha Virus was the cause of the emergence of superhumans. There was no Malefic Calamity cloud on the Old Era Azure Planet, so she concluded that Malefic Calamity was the cause of the emergence of superhumans."
"She was wrong, but not entirely wrong."
"However, the appearance of the extraordinary individuals has nothing to do with the Malefic Calamity Cloud."
"Malefic Calamity is not a virus, or even a substance—it's more like a phenomenon. A phenomenon that can spread specific information."
Phenomenon?
Nelia and Qiu Ran were stunned.
"The Red Arrow People have already researched this far?" Nelia felt a sense of urgency.
Qiu Ran was confused; she couldn't understand this explanation. "What does 'phenomenon' mean... If I don't have the virus in my body, then what exactly changed my genes?"
Li Aoz thought about it. The theory of the Malefic Calamity was extremely complex and difficult for the players at the time to accept.
So he carefully chose his words: "It was the Malefic Calamity that changed your genes, but it was forcibly pieced together... Your Aoneng is actually a weapon given to you by the Malefic Calamity. As for why you were able to awaken your Aoneng, it's because there was a missing part in your genes that could just accommodate the Gene Fragments brought by the Malefic Calamity."
"I don't understand... what exactly is Malefic Calamity?"
"Since the scientific explanation is too difficult to understand, I'll try to put it another way."
Li Aoz thought for a moment and said, "The Malefic Calamity is actually like the murmur of an ancient god sealed away. It uses this method to filter and spread the information within its body. Talented people are the chosen ones, and those who listen are granted the ultimate power called ' Aoneng.' As long as the number of Aoneng who bear the Malefic Calamity reaches a certain level, it will be enough for its unseen and ineffable holy form to reappear in the world, capable of destroying an entire planet in an instant—you see, it's easy to understand, right?"
Qiu Ran twitched the corner of her mouth. "... Why don't you switch back to a scientific explanation?"
"In short, the potions of Malefic Calamity have the function of giving you Aoneng, which does not belong to your own bodies, but is given to you by Malefic Calamity."
"The most direct example is that when you use too much Aoneng or when you are emotionally agitated, your body and mind will be eroded by Aoneng, resulting in rejection reactions."
"Red and black eyes may be out of control for you, and may even turn you into a monster with a deformed body, but for me—it's just a kind of mental euphoria."
Li Aoz said, "At present, apart from me, there is no one else on the entire Azure Planet who truly controls their own Aoneng."
"I am the only one whose own genes have mutated into Aoneng."
The plot and foreshadowing are mostly done; now it's time for the fight.
Sometimes I sacrifice some exciting moments for the sake of the plot, or in doing so, create some 'toxic' moments. I try to strike a balance in these situations.
As a story, some parts are insignificant, such as the "Revival Starcaller" part, which some people consider a flaw.
Actually, I was quite surprised when I saw this:
It's like someone who started out making a living by patriotism, but ended up becoming a U. S. citizen.
I remember writing that Li Aoz was the founder and top streamer of the entire Starcaller system. He used to be able to eat his fill and make a little money because he was supported by the Starcaller.
Otherwise, given his marksmanship and early-game firepower, switching to another class would be somewhat disrespectful to Kalashnikov (the father of Ak).
As the head of the Starcaller, Li Aoz's livelihood comes from Starcaller. Although he has blown up planets in the game, he is not a truly heinous villain.
How can someone smash the pot after finishing their meal?
A compelling story may not necessarily be as exciting as a thrilling experience, but I want everyone to enjoy a good story without making it too tiring to watch. I'll try my best to put more effort into this aspect, and I ask for your understanding.
