Northern Camp.
Hudson had just returned from the royal palace and had not even had time to catch his breath before envoys from the Moxi Duchy and the East and West Warhammer Kingdoms came calling.
Judging by the timing, these people must have ridden flying magical beasts straight from the front after the battle lines collapsed.
With the situation so tense, Hudson had no time for pleasantries and immediately asked:
"Rackel, what exactly happened on the front? Why did the battle line collapse so quickly?"
There had been no shortage of troops gathered in the Warhammer Kingdom, and the fortresses along the defensive lines had been sturdy enough. Even if the enemy threatened them with Forbidden Spells, they would still need enough mages to cast that many spells.
After all, once a Forbidden Spell began to take shape, it could not be recalled. The mages involved in casting one would need at least ten days to half a month to recover.
Hudson did not believe the enemy could produce dozens of Forbidden Spells in a single day. If they really were that formidable, there would be no point in fighting the rest of the war.
"Marshal, once it was confirmed that the Elves had entered the war, the entire army fell into panic, and the enemy seized the opportunity.
By the time Allied Command realized what was happening and took measures to calm the troops, breaches had already been torn through the first three defensive lines.
The Warhammer Kingdom had not prepared adequately. Apart from the first three completed defensive lines, the ones behind them were all incomplete.
The army suffered grievous losses and could now only rely on the noble castles along the route to resist step by step. Without reinforcements, the East Warhammer Kingdom will not last long."
