Existence within Naruto

Menma initially resided within Naruto Uzumaki and shared access to Naruto’s Sealing Space with Kurama. He watched Naruto’s treatment by Konoha from within, taught him the Shadow Clone Technique, and used Naruto’s body as a relay to create chakra bodies of his own. 9 10 11

Although Kurama initially viewed him as a dangerous schemer, Menma made clear that he did not simply intend to destroy Konoha. He preferred to manipulate its people and institutions rather than “bulldoze everything” himself. 10

Red Moon and bodily research

Menma began gathering people with unusual abilities and bloodlines, including Kurama Yakumo, Yakushi Nonō, Shin Uchiha, and Yakushi Kabuto. He named his organization the Red Moon and used its members, resources, and laboratories to pursue his objective of overturning the existing shinobi order. 80 88
