Shang Qian said, "Have you noticed... why are all the zombies around here evolved zombies?"
Shen Jin looked at the twenty-odd Energy Crystal Cores in his hand. Thinking it over, he realized he really hadn't seen any ordinary zombies.
For a place that had once been a construction site, twenty-odd zombies seemed far too few.
"Could... someone have cleared this place out? Killed all the ordinary zombies?"
"It doesn't look like it. There are no zombie corpses or signs of burning on the ground. It's more like there weren't that many zombies here to begin with, or all the zombies are..."
Shang Qian's gaze turned toward the mine pit spiraling downward.
"Then we'd better be careful."
There wasn't a single zombie on the spiral road around the entire enormous pit. That was a little too strange.
Shang Qian activated her Jetpack, intending to float straight down to the lower section of the mine pit, where she could vaguely make out some ore gleaming brightly.
"Wait!"
Shen Jin stopped Shang Qian as she took off.
"Let me top up the biogas. If anything happens, it'll be easier for us to escape."
They had stopped and started and taken detours along the way, turning a forty-kilometer journey into more than sixty kilometers. Both their packs had less than half their biogas reserves left.
Shen Jin took one bottle from the [Biogas Cell ×64] in his backpack.
The little object expanded, becoming an elongated glass cell with a capacity of one cubic meter. Some biogas slurry and a large quantity of gas flowed inside.
Shen Jin put half into Shang Qian's pack and the other half into his own.
There was a very interesting little trick here.
When Shen Jin filled Shang Qian's pack, he had to open the "oxygen tank" on her
