Background / History

Jiang Lingsu came from the distant eastern lands as a high-status member of the Jiang family. A month before she entered the Shinguang Sect, her bloodline awakened and allowed her to use her clan's Supreme Treasure, the Universe Mirror. It showed her an apocalyptic future: her father dying in battle, her mother’s blood staining the palace, and the Azure Wave World collapsing. The vision indicated that the small Shinguang Sect would survive because of a hidden master. She could not reveal this future, as doing so would erase the memory from everyone—including herself. 2

Determined to avert the catastrophe, she specifically sought admission to Seven Colors Peak, initially regarding its elusive Peak Lord, Ruan Yixi, as the likeliest protector. To secure her place, she offered to serve Qi Yuan as a maid or servant; he instead accepted her as his junior sister.
