Background / History

Tang Wanzhou entered Qiuzhou Prefectural City in a conspicuous jade carriage and approached Li Weiyi with an offer: a Spiritual Platform Blazing Star Stone Fragment in return for his seven Mysterious Insects or his participation in the Underground Immortal Mansion expedition. She believed that public association with her would make him harder to target, and maintained that danger should be confronted rather than avoided indefinitely. 273

She organized and personally led an expedition through the mansion's eighth path, recruiting martial experts, Psychic Power specialists, and Insect Tamers. Publicly, the group sought relics such as the Bright Star Book; privately, Tang Wanzhou intended to lure out the Twin Rice Cult and determine whether its main altar lay within the mansion. She later admitted that Li Weiyi and other participants had been used as bait, a decision that contributed to Tang Hu's death and Tuoba Butuo's injury. 280 284 301

At the Starfire Altar, Tang Wanzhou faced Yao Qingxuan and a Saint Mind Master while still at the Dao Seed Realm. Despite suffering shattered bones and serious injuries after taking Yao Qingxuan's Heavenly Wind Palm Technique, she escaped through a spatial escape technique. Yao Qingxuan pursued her for roughly two months without successfully capturing her. 285 293

After returning through a spatial teleportation array, Tang Wanzhou was found unconscious by Li Weiyi. Her memories and emotions had been distorted by an unknown influence: she believed that Li Weiyi had seduced, exploited, and betrayed her, though the supposed relationship existed only in fabricated memories. She eventually accepted concealment in Li Weiyi's Ancestral Field while he sought a way to address the condition. 327 328

Her subsequent cultivation at the Blood Mud Space and around the Fusang Divine Tree accelerated her pursuit of the Longevity Realm. She sought to break several Longevity Locks in one cycle and ultimately reach the Transcendent realm. 355

Appearance

Tang Wanzhou is a tall, slender Pure Immortal Body cultivator whose austere appearance reinforces her reputation as the Northern Territory's Young Lord. She commonly presents herself in dark men's attire and carries herself with the rigid posture and sharp presence of a drawn sword. 273 336

  • Dark black robes, often paired with a jade crown or long ponytail. 273 512
  • Handsome, refined, unadorned features. 273
  • Jade-white skin and a physique described as both heroic and feminine. 336
  • Often carries the Divine Snow Sword. 285 553
  • Uses specially made masks or Departed Spirit corpse skin when concealment is necessary. 554 564

Personality

Tang Wanzhou is confident, proud, and exceptionally direct. She rejects the idea that capable people should remain hidden forever, arguing that concealment should serve a future reveal rather than become permanent cowardice. 273

Her central ideals are martial perfection and restoring peace to a chaotic world. She is intensely ambitious in cultivation and treats adversity as necessary fuel for advancement, believing that a cultivator must survive repeated life-and-death battles to preserve the spirit required for the highest realms. 328 596

She is also calculating and willing to accept severe costs for a larger objective. Her decision to use allies as bait against the Twin Rice Cult revealed a cold disregard for pawns in her strategies, even as she viewed the cult's possible Corpse Planting Rice ritual as a threat that could bring catastrophe to the world. 301

Despite this ruthlessness, Tang Wanzhou is regarded as dependable toward those she accepts as comrades. Li Weiyi considers her open-minded, heroic, and unlikely to betray friends for treasure, while her repeated interventions on his behalf show that she distinguishes between expendable plans and personal loyalty. 356 464 594

  • Mountain Breaker — A piercing sword strike capable of cutting through a hill and freezing the surrounding area. 404
  • Immortal Kills All Beings — A supreme sword intent that targets an opponent's soul and consciousness; it is described as extremely difficult for an opponent of the same realm to defend against. 595
  • Defeated the Demon Child, a disguised Transcendent-level opponent fighting at Longevity Realm strength, within fourteen swords. 404 407

  • She broke free from Yao Qingxuan's mental restraint while still in the Dao Seed Realm. 285
  • Her sword intent can suppress opponents before her physical attacks land. 404 595

  • Intends to strengthen the Lesser Yang Division with Dragon Soul Origin Light and Netherworld of the Departed trial grounds. 553

Transcendent Dao Techniques

Tang Wanzhou has access to Transcendent-level techniques and trump cards, though she once avoided relying on outside power out of concern that it would weaken her resolve. 591

  • Used a Transcendent Dao Technique to escape Jingzhen and Qing Ziqin. 591
  • Employed a sword strike left by Tang Shituo to split Chu Yutian's Taiyin diagram and sever his legs below the knees. 641
