Background & History

Yun Yun was the Sect Leader of the Misty Cloud Sect when she entered the Beast Mountain Range to obtain a Purple Spirit Crystal from the Purple Crystal Winged Lion King. Their negotiations failed, and although she severed the Lion King’s horn with Wind Extremity: Falling Annihilation, she was seriously wounded and fell into a river. Chen Mo rescued her and treated her injuries. 1 2

While recovering, Yun Yun concealed her identity under the name Yun Zhi. Chen Mo protected and cared for her during their time in the Beast Mountain Range, including sheltering with her in a cave and helping secure the Purple Spirit Crystal. She ultimately revealed that she was the Misty Cloud Sect’s leader and allowed Chen Mo to address her as “Sister Yun Yun” in private. 3 4 8

At Misty Cloud Sect, Yun Yun became Chen Mo’s mentor and later accepted him as her second Direct Disciple after his victory over Nalan Yanran. She also treated both disciples’ severe injuries after their battle and concealed the damage to Nalan Yanran’s foundation. 21

As Lingyan Pavilion expanded, Yun Yun served as one of its most decisive high-level combatants.
