Background

Bo Saixi devoted nearly her entire life to Sea God Island. Her ancestors served the Sea God, and she inherited their duty as the island’s Great Priest, guiding successors through the Sea God’s trials and awaiting a candidate capable of completing them. 444 464

She had a longstanding connection with Qian Daoliu, who visited Sea God Island and sought her out personally. Bo Saixi remained guarded toward him, ending their exchange after their spar and demanding that he leave the island. 419 422

The Sea God later revealed that he had caused Bo Saixi to miss Tang Chen and had deliberately arranged circumstances to bring her together with Chen Mo as compensation. 464

Bo Saixi is composed, disciplined, and deeply conscious of her dignity. She is stern toward Sea God Island’s guardians, refusing to disclose the contents of Chen Mo’s Sixth Trial when questioned. 451

Her lifelong service to Sea God Island makes her hesitant to leave it, even after accepting Chen Mo as her husband. She ultimately chooses to follow him beyond Douluo Star after he urges her to see worlds greater than Sea God Island. 461

She is also decisive in battle. Once her enemies threaten Chen Mo’s group, she acts without mercy, killing Zhongli Old Ghost and later annihilating the Evil Emperor’s Divine Soul. 521 522

Sea God’s Ten Trials

Bo Saixi serves as Chen Mo’s examiner when he and six women receive the Sea God’s highest-level trials. She warns them that following Chen Mo through the Golden Tier Ten Trials may result in injury or death. 444

After Chen Mo defeats the Seven Sacred Pillar Guardians, Bo Saixi confirms the increase in his Sea God Affinity. When the guardians ask about the Sixth Trial, she angrily stops them from prying. 451

The Sixth Trial requires Chen Mo to kiss Bo Saixi. Initially reluctant and visibly uneasy, she delays bringing him to the trial location, but ultimately makes her own choice to accept him. 452 464

Marriage and Divinity

Bo Saixi becomes pregnant with Chen Mo’s child and gives birth to Chen Che amid a heavenly phenomenon involving shattered golden shackles and the descent of a World Purifying Green Lotus. 457
