Background
Bo Saixi devoted nearly her entire life to Sea God Island. Her ancestors served the Sea God, and she inherited their duty as the island’s Great Priest, guiding successors through the Sea God’s trials and awaiting a candidate capable of completing them. 444 464
She had a longstanding connection with Qian Daoliu, who visited Sea God Island and sought her out personally. Bo Saixi remained guarded toward him, ending their exchange after their spar and demanding that he leave the island. 419 422
The Sea God later revealed that he had caused Bo Saixi to miss Tang Chen and had deliberately arranged circumstances to bring her together with Chen Mo as compensation. 464

Sea God’s Ten Trials
Bo Saixi serves as Chen Mo’s examiner when he and six women receive the Sea God’s highest-level trials. She warns them that following Chen Mo through the Golden Tier Ten Trials may result in injury or death. 444
After Chen Mo defeats the Seven Sacred Pillar Guardians, Bo Saixi confirms the increase in his Sea God Affinity. When the guardians ask about the Sixth Trial, she angrily stops them from prying. 451
The Sixth Trial requires Chen Mo to kiss Bo Saixi. Initially reluctant and visibly uneasy, she delays bringing him to the trial location, but ultimately makes her own choice to accept him. 452 464
